RUBAKAI

About Me

Rubakai formed in spring 2007. The catalyst of which was an attendance at an open mic night at The Source Café in Denton Holme, where Joe and Muz were coerced into showcasing their talents with the promise of goods that can only be described as “of an illicit nature”. Never one to miss a trick, the lads duly obliged, had a blast, and subsequently formed the band with the quality recruitment of Paul, Ed and Ben. After some personnel changes, they've arrived at the current line up with the replacement of Ed with Patty, via Wotto who contributed to six crazy months. Since their formation, the lads have been bringing their 'good time' tunes to those seeking just that, consistently performing loud and rocking sets all over the north, including appearances at The Cavern, The Dry Bar, Night and Day Cafe and The Revolution Bar, where they performed at the 'In the city' festival of 2007. If you're looking for pretension, you’re in the wrong place. This is RUBAKAI.
