Look for the girl with the broken smile, and ask her if she wants to stay awhile.

About Me

Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: You don't give up.
Although I spent my early years growing up in South Korea, I'm originally a home bred and corn fed Hoosier, so I learned how to have a good time and I traveled a lot, because there is so much more in this world than cornfields. So as a result, I'm an easily amused, people loving, traveler! I had solo trips to Africa and India tucked under my belt by age 19. I made my way to the West Coast after college, and now live in San Diego where I am a Realtor, a surfer, and last but not least, a friend. Although I live in freaking paradise, friends are the best part of "America's Finest City." I road trip with friends as much as possible, with a goal of including some surfing, and also taking at least one overseas trip per year (and no, Mexico doesn't count since it's only a 20min drive!). The way some girls are with purses & shoes, well, that's me about travel. I will never get enough. NEVER!!! Last year was Sweden. This year is Montreal & Cabo San Lucas. Hitting up Iceland/Ireland next summer. I just discovered Jennifer is moving to Kenya, so that is also on the list. And, I have the lofty goal of making it to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Yes, you can surf in all 7 countries listed above. I also love finding ways to give back to the countries and people I encounter in my travels. Even on trips where my goal is to give, I always feel as if I've received much more than I could give in a million years. I think more people should focus on giving. It's so freeing! Anyway, SD is the best place I've ever lived, and I finally feel like it's home, mostly due to the people, the H20, and the sunshine. Although I still have friends and family "back home" who I wish DESPERATELY to see more of, once you throw away that ice-scraper, you can never move back! It's just a fact.
OTHER RANDOM FACTS:
- I cannot walk in a straight line. Ever.
- My eyes are not the same color.
- I can tell my boss to "shut up" or call him names without getting fired.

- I have been to every continent except South America.
- I do enjoy a well made Cosmo.
- Most of my "local" friends are from Sweden. (They don't have the Alps).
- I often eat meals of only steamed rice & milk. I must be 1/2 Asian.

My Interests

Being with family (esp those adorable "growing like weeds" nieces!) and friends is numero UNO. I would do absolutely anything humanly possible for them!

A tie for 2nd place includes:
Traveling- to ANY and ALL countries, watching the Pacific from my window, surfing, taking pictures, eating rice, irony, Cubs, laughing to the point of tears, music, broadening my horizions, dodging photo-enforced lights, good conversations, Shamu, exercise, buying things for other people just because, ballroom dancing, trying to fit myself in small spaces, world fusion music, my hairy daughter, hardwood floors, green tea, Indianapolis Colts, rollercoasters, color, Cirque du Soleil, a good movie+ warm blanket+ old sweats+ hot tea on a rainy day, pinching my sister's chin, just being outside, holding my nieces, interior decorating, foreign food, conflict resolution, watching sunsets, children, forensics, growing new freckles, inventing new words, sarcasm, chopsticks, snuggling, anything ocean or H2O related, adventure, and the simple bliss of sitting down for coffee with a friend.

I'd like to meet:

You Belong in San Diego

Laid back and friendly, you were meant to live most of your life on the beach.
You usually think everything is "all good"... except when the weather dips under 60F.
You stay classy - especially when you're in Tijuana!
Where Does Your Inner Californian Belong?

You Are Sunset
Even though you still may be young, you already feel like you've accomplished a lot in life.
And you feel free to pave your own path now, and you're not even sure where it will take you.
Maybe you'll pursue higher education in a subject you enjoy - or travel the world for a few years.
Either way, you approach life with a relaxed, open attitude. And that will take you far! What Time Of Day Are You?

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !

Music:

I listen to just about anything except: death to your mother metal, music that uses the words "bitch" and "hoe" more than regular vocabulary, and music sung by anyone wearing a cowboy hat. I'm currently partial to Smashing Pumpkins, Keane, Slightly Stoopid, and the techno cd David has in his truck. Especially track #5.

Movies:

I like just about any movie (except for Sci-Fi & horror) with a good ending. Sad endings and especially NO endings make me upset. I mean seriously, there is enough in this world to get upset about without paying for it and/or wasting my life to see it! I cannot watch a scary movie without a hand to constrict blood flow on, a lap to end up in, and a light to leave on. Anthony Hopkins & Morgan Freeman make acting look easy. The best documentary I've seen lately (for the ???th time) is "Step into Liquid." You should give 'er a go. It's all about surfing.

Television:

ER has been my favorite show since I was 15 years old. I've always had an odd liking for Discovery Channel surgeries. Amazing Race provides completely unecessary nourishment for my travel bug. Aside from Amazing Race & Football (go Colts!!!), the TV is pretty much off these days.

Books:

No time to read, but I do stop by Borders from time to time in order to check out what I would read if I had the time, and would buy if I had the space. Well, I take that back...I do enjoy Lonely Planet Guides.

Heroes:

My parents, my sister, and the one not giving up hope. I love you!
