About Me

I am a therapist in Cheyenne, Wyoming and I love what I do. It can be draining and overwhelming sometimes but when I get to see someone evolve during work it makes it all worth while. I love to meet new people, find new places to eat, watch movies, and take road trips when possible. I consider myself friendly, outgoing, laid back, and spontanious. I value love, friendship, honesty, nature, exploration, and silliness.

My Interests

I love my husband Sean, my family, and my friends. I like to read and listen to music, try new things, and watch movies. I love taking photos and am a very amateur photographer. I also recently discovered that I have a bit of a knack for painting and sketching so that is my newfound passion. I love camping and hiking and being outdoors, going to concerts, summer, the ocean, and the night sky. Oh, and I have two cats (Zoey and Zappa).

I'd like to meet:

Anyone... People intrigue me.

Music:

I love music... and all kinds of music; as Sean would say "there is only 2 types of music; good and bad". I do mostly listen to classic rock though. I adore Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Tom Petty. I am also really in to U2 and would actually say they are my favorite all time group. Currently, I am obsessed with the Shins; they are absolutley fabulous! Plus, I am a sucker for the 80's, and I also love David Bowie, Tom Waitts, Johnny Cash, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bjork, Modest Mouse, the Ramones, Pink Floyd, Blondie, Coldplay, Lou Reed, G. Love and Special Sauce, Jack Johnson, Madonna, The Tragically Hip, the White Stripes, ACDC, Stevie Nicks, Phish, Jethro Tull, Greg Brown, CCR, ZZ Top, INXS, The Doors, Elvis, Amy Steinberg, The Allman Brothers Band, Van Morrison, The Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, and even Neil Diamond. So as you can see, my taste in music is eclectic.

Movies:

I love horror flicks; the good (The Shining), the B (Frogs), the cheesy (Army of Darkness), and the wierd (Basketcase). And some of my all time favorite movies are: Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Garden State, Chocolat, Benny and Joon, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands (every movie by Tim Burton is a good thing; and with Johnny Depp as well), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Monty Python (The Holy Grail as well as Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life), Donnie Darko, Office Space, Grease, Chicago, Kill Bill, Stand By Me, The Dark Crystal, The Little Mermaid, Terms of Endearment, When Harry Met Sally, Serenity, the Harry Potter Movies, Best in Show, Spinal Tap, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, I.Q., Elizabeth, A Love Song For Bobby Long, As Good As It Gets, O'Brother Where Art Though, Raising Arizona, Forrest Gump, What About Bob, The Jerk, Fletch, Uncle Buck, The Labrynth, The Secret of N.I.M.H., Dr. Strangelove, Pump Up the Volume, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Old School, Dodgeball, SuperSize Me, Beetlejuice, Young Frankenstein, Walk The Line, Pay it Forward, Seven, The Usual Suspects, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Big Lebowski, What the Bleep Do We Know, Better Off Dead, the Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, I 'heart' Huckabees, About a Boy, Napoleon Dynamite, Ten Things I Hate About You, Reality Bites, High Fidelity, Faieries, The Last Unicorn, Arsenic and Old Lace, Brain Candy, Dirty Dancing, Batman Begins, Hitchcock films (Psycho, the Bryds, Rear Window...), and the list is endless.....

Television:

I love Gilmore Girls. I also love Lost, Arrested Development (miss it), The Office, Firefly (miss this one too), BSG, Heroes, and Dexter.

Books:

One of the first books that made an impact on me was Ishmael (well, after Nancy Drew). Currently I am reading "Lamb, The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal", by Christopher Moore. I like thriller/mystery books the best, such as those written by James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Jonothan Kellerman, Dan Brown, Janet Evanovich, and Mary Higgins Clark. I love the Harry Potter books. I also like Abarat by Clive Barker, Wicked by Gregory McGuire, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (can't think of the author), and Stephen King's books. I enjoy some of the classics as well; especially To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, and Wuthering Heights. Another favorite is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. And finally, I also love Roald Dahl and Shel Silverstein's children's books.

Heroes:

Carl Rogers, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, Bono, Bob Dylan, and my friends and family that I am lucky enough to have in my life to inspire me on a daily basis.
