About Me

Please direct all inquiries concerning the Black Dog to Martin Dust @ Dust Science .
The Black Dog was formerly the trio of Ken Downie, Ed Handley, and Andy Turner. Ed and Andy left to pursue their Plaid project, as Ken continued with several different line ups of Black Dog, notably his work with the late Ofra Haza, Israeli vocalist extraordinaire who revolutionized Middle Eastern folk music, on "Babylon", William Burroughs-influenced spoken word and concept album "Unsavory Products" with poet Black Sifichi, remix of the Siouxsie/Budgie project "The Creatures", on their album "Hybrids", and groundbreaking reflective solo projects such as "Music for Adverts and Short Films."
As of late, Ken has joined alliance with Martin and Richard Dust from Dust Science Recordings after a brief hiatus from the often disillusioning music scene. "Silenced" is the result of this new creative assemblage.
During the last 15 years or more, the Black Dog has worked on GPR, Warner, Warp, Hydrogen Dukebox, K7, and has found home on the Dust Science label, based in North England.
Love is the Law, Love under Will.
