Trying to become a better person. Not that I have that far to go!
Friends who are not crazy! Ok. a little nutz is ok!
I like everything! I'm not really excited about anything new, so I'm going back to the old stuff. I love Mos Def & Tali Kwalib, The Roots are my favorite to see live( I had a crush on Black Thought in '98!) Kanye,Alannis Morrissette, Amel Larriuex ( she makes me cry, and I'm no sucka!) Reasonable Doubt (Jay made me want to hustle) and of course A Tribe Called Quest. I'm going back to the early 90's, I was to young to understand good music then, but now I get it.I would also like to point out ( for sheer embarassment) that my brother thought he was a Dj, his name was DJ Soul, and when he was spinning, his album of choice was Mone Love! ( mone in the middle, where she at? in da middle!) When he tried to scratch on the Thriller album his career was cut short by a beat down from Ma!
I'm a chick flick kinda gal! It's so bad, even my girlfriends don't want to go to the movies with me!
I'm not a huge T.V. watcher, but thanks to DVR, I'm now a Grey's Anatomy fan! And I love Prison Break! The writing is amazing on that show. I truly love the '80's and of course that's one of my favorite shows on VH1. I'm always down for an E! True Hollywood story.
I loveeeeeeeee reading! It's the cheapest way to take a mental vacation. I have so many favorites when it come to books, but my favorite author is J. California Cooper. Her writing is so fluid, and it really transforms me. I also really like Sista Soulja, I was in a cab coming from Newark Airport, and I realized that my book was in the trunk ( The Coldest Winter Ever) I risked life and limb on the Lincoln Tunnel to get that book! Right know I'm re-reading The Tippin Point, he's such a linquist! I really like what he's talking about, but I wish we could say it in fewer words!
