I too was born at a very young age. It was in Baytown Texas and I have lived in and around the Houston area for all of my life. My father is a retired high school coach. He mostly coached football so I spent many a Friday night at the football game. I was one of those little rug rats that would run around on the field after the game was over. My mother also worked quite a few years in public schools. She held various support jobs around the school's front office (photo copy, attendance ect...)
It is no surprise that I ended up in the public service industry as well. I am a police officer for Conroe School District. I have had this career for just over 21 years now. I really like working with the kids. My duties include handling a narcotic detection canine named Duncan . I am also a bike patrol officer . One of my many other hats at work is life guard. Yeah, a life guard for a police department. We have our own summer camp through the Police Activities League and I am a life guard at the camp.
SWAT, been there doing that. I'm on our department's first responder team. I like to call it the "Fast Action Response Team". I really like the acronym.
I was also a challenge course facilitator for 10 years. I really got into experiential learning but the recertifications got to be more of a hassle than I got out of the challenge of it all. My good friend Chad left too. I miss you bud.
I have been married to my lovely wife, Mary for seventeen years. Mary teaches junior high in Willis. We have two children; eleven-year-old Bryce and six-year-old Brianna . I am very much involved with my family and enjoy my Monday through Friday job. Now I need to work on getting off during the summers. Hehehe...
My on-line life: I am pretty much addicted to the Internet. Besides MySpace (which is pretty new to me) I am active on several message boards, monitor Live Journal (don't journal much any more) and am was recently a senior moderator on a pretty big gaming web site Animal Crossing Community . You can find me there under the screen name Belay Dog. I am really not that much of a gamer though.
