I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Like most people, there are many sides to me (let's start with two.....Do I hear "Sybil" anyone? LOL.) I figure myself to be just a 'guy next door' type with a big heart. I have a lot of passion for life, and I believe that things happen for a reason, and that there are no coincidences. I am spiritual, and I believe in karma. (what goes around DOES come around!) Family is important to me whether it is blood family, or friends family. I am a hopeless romantic, and I believe that 'somewhere out there' there is the man of my dreams. (So far, I've only met the men of my nightmares.):0) I can be pretty shy sometimes, especially if I am really attracted to someone, but I warm up quickly, and then of course, you probably won't shut me up. (A lot of Jag does the trick, too!):0) I love to make people laugh. Laughter, to me, makes life so much easier and much more enjoyable so I try to laugh often. I have good values and a good heart. In addition to being a 'boy', my 'split-persona' is a female illusionist (I don't dare say drag queen, 'cause nothin' about me is a drag, honey!) named Mary Brewster. Mary comes from Mary Wilson of the Supremes, and Brewster comes from the Brewster Projects of Detroit, Michigan (where the Supremes grew up....although I am hearing the TRUE name is Brewster-Douglas Projects. I am too far into the game for a name change, so Mary Brewster it is!) So for the last time, NO, I am NO RELATION to Punky Brewster! :0) As Mary Brewster, I have performed in 100's (getting close to 1000's) of shows, but find that I recieve the most enjoyment of performing in fundraisers. I am the Show Director and emcee extraordinaire for Triangle of Hope's benefit shows, an organization that I have been working with for over 12 years (for more information on Triangle of Hope, please check out their MySpace: www.myspace.com/triangleofhope). With Triangle of Hope, I have been able to perform all over the Twin Cities area, in addtion to out-of-state gigs in Fargo, ND (somewhere, out there, there is an on-air radio interview that Ti-Nea' and I did for a 'hard rock' station in Fargo. I'd KILL to get a copy of that!), Eau Claire, WI, and Superior, WI. I am proud to say that I've helped raise HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars for people living with HIV and AIDS. Although I am not HIV positive myself, I have lost many close and dear friends to AIDS, so it is a cause that inspires me. I've worked with some of the best in the business, (including, but not limited to: Ti-Nea', Rachel Hunter, and Anastasia) and I am proud of all of Mary Brewster's accomplishments. Someone once told me that I am called the "Benefit Queen". What an awesome thing to be known as. I feel so blessed. And while I enjoy the spotlight, and am proud of all of Mary Brewster does, Mary Brewster does not define who I am. "She" is only one small piece of a much larger puzzle. Don't let the fact that I sometimes wear panties freak you out! *wink* Lastly, in addition to running my own personal MySpace, and the MySpace of Triangle of Hope, I also run the First and OFFICIAL MySpace of the 'supreme' Mary Wilson! For more information: www.myspace.com/marywilson.

My Interests

Entertaining the troops.......hey, it's tough to be a celebrity! Okay, how about traveling, hitting the casino, camping, going out to the clubs, carryin' on with friends, playing cards (cribbage, 500, gin, spades, hearts....you name it! LOL), bargain shopping (thrift stores, garage/estate sales....), and listening to the "Motown Sound". I've also been known to shoot a game a pool or kick an ass or two in darts. Random things that excite me: men, shots of Jag, big diamonds, men, black dresses, catchy tunes, men, Las Vegas, witty commercials, Chex mix, men, taking baths, chinese food, flip flops, men, chips and salsa, and Saturdays. And men.

I'd like to meet:

New friends (or reconnecting with old ones) never hurt anyone. I have very ecclectic tastes, and people of all backgrounds interest me. I believe we all have a 'story' and I am interested in hearing what yours is. I don't know what I believe about the 'after life', so I want to meet as many people and experience as many things in this life that I can. Salt 'N Pepa put it best: "You know life, is all about expression. You only life once, and you're not coming back. So express yourself". Ultimately though, I'm single, and still find myself looking for......my soul mate? The 'one'? Prince Charming? (Alright, let's be realistic.....)How about an Average Joe for dating adventures and possibly *gasp* a LTR. Ideally, I am looking for someone who doesn't take life too seriously, knows that beauty is only skin deep, and enjoys making someone else happy as much as they like being made happy. My ideal 'someone' knows that a night out can be just as fun as a night in, and has more friends than he can count on than friends he can count. Someone involved in the 'community' would be a big plus (I'm all for raising money and awareness, did you read above?) Someone who is as comfortable at the local dive as at the cotillion. Someone that can pull off a tux just as well as he can pull off a baseball hat and jeans. Someone that smells good. Someone who aspires (and inspires me) to be a better man. Someone who is down to earth. I like a man who knows who he is and is not afraid to express it. He is comfortable in his own skin. A man that I can believe in. I am looking for a man with soul and a soul. I know I sound like I am picky, put why settle for 'good' when you can have 'great'?*whew* Gulity pleasure: Richard Simmons. This cracks me up. :0) Woof!

Music:

I have quite a taste in music. For starters: The Supremes (duh!), New Kids on the Block, Def Leppard, Natalie Cole, Olivia Newton John, Whitney, Tina Turner, The Carpenters, Aerosmith, Stevie Wonder, Motley Crue, ABBA, Basement Jaxx, Chaka Khan, Eminem, Elton John, Patti LaBelle, Madonna, Aretha, Barry Manilow, Christina Aguilera, Supertramp, REO Speedwagon, The Bee Gees, Janet AND Michael Jackson, George Michael, Mary J., anything 80's, anything Motown, and ANY type of Christmas music, especially Mariah's "All I Want For Christmas is You"!

Television:

American Idol, Designing Women, Golden Girls, ALL THINGS Rachel Ray, Inside the Actor's Studio, ANY show on TLC, HGTV, or Food Network, and any 'classic' game show.......especially the OLD Hollywood Squares and The Match Game (who doesn't love Charles Nelson Reilly?)

Books:

"Dreamgirl, My Life as a Supreme" by Mary Wilson, "Valley of the Dolls" by Jacqueline Susann, "Auntie Mame" by Patrick Dennis, anything by Augusten Burroughs or David Sedaris and ANY cookbook..........

Heroes:

My Godfather Jeff (1962-1980), my "Granny" (1906-1992), the late, great Miss Rachel Hunter (I miss you, girl!), and anyone that aspires to be a better person by 'doing their part'. Remember to 'pay it forward', 'cause what goes around comes around! "Good Times" take on the Supremes Ross is the boss! Mother Mary One of my fav Supremes clips; watch those boobies shake!
