About Me

I teach computers in an elementary school setting. I have many interests and a circle of friends that allow me to express my sometimes eclectic interests without judgement (at least not to my face!). My family is very important to me, and I am often found at activities that revolve around my nieces and nephews. I have two pets - a poodle mix dog Presley and a tree frog Frankie that keep me entertained as well. I love the Sunshine State - the warmth of the sun, a beach, some peaceful tunes, and a good book are all I need there. I'm a big follower of music, and it is due to that interest that I am here. I love the cover band Maggie Speaks from Chicago - so if this becomes my new "addiction" - I blame them! :)

My Interests

I'm into pretty much anything music related. Reading, dancing, traveling, scrapbooking, photography, movies, surfing the net, and hanging out with friends and family are all faves of mine. I also like to watch sports - baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, and softball (preferably in person - not on t.v.).

I'd like to meet:

From the past: Walt Disney, Martin Luther King, Jr., Eleanor Roosevelt, and Elvis Presley. From today: Faith Hill, Grant Hill (not related!), Tom Cruise, and President Bush or any of our former Presidents

Music:

I like all types of music. I'm a huge fan of Tim McGraw, and The Eagles are my all-time favorite band. I also love live music. My favorite cover band is Maggie Speaks (Chicago based)- they play great music and are an all-around terrific group of guys. I also enjoy going out to see Brat Pack, Hello Dave, Kabang (Orlando), The Love Monkeys (Wisconsin) and Paint the Earth (St. Louis).

Movies:

Like music, I enjoy a lot of different types of movies - ranging from Star Wars to The Wedding Singer to The Lion King to The Patriot. My favorite movie is Top Gun - I've seen it hundreds of times, and I never get tired of it!

Television:

Medium, Las Vegas, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, How I Met Your Mother, Will and Grace, Invasion, What I Like About You, ER, Two and a Half Men, Still Standing, and 7th Heaven are some of my current favorite shows. Old favorites include Friends, Sex in the City, and Seinfeld.

Books:

I love to read. John Grisham, Robert Fulghum, Elizabeth Berg, Adriana Trigiani, J.K. Rowling, Diana Gabaldon, Denise Swanson, Nancy Turner, Gregory Maguire, Dr. Seuss, and H.A. and Margret Rey are among my favorite authors.

Heroes:

My parents, my 92 yr. old grandma, our military past and present, Martin Luther King, Jr., Walt Disney, my teachers, and every man, woman, and child that stood up for what they believed in or tried to help others in time of need.
