SSK and BOXOHM STATION
Brick-B, Peuhl Daddy and Lëk Sèn met in 1993 in the village of NGor,in Senegal. At first moved by the will to express themselves with music, the teenagers quickly saw their game turn into passion. They've been singing together for 12 years under the name of RMC and set the stages on fire each time they ve had the chance to.
With injustice, calamitous social conditions, we had to express the frustration of this new sacrified generation ignored by governments. Our words are like bursts against injustice and evil. A men call for men dignity
SSK gets out of their place to spread their message like a cement of social stability for a better future.
One hand cant clap without the other, union is our survival weapon. Men inspired by love of their fellow creatures will be able to reconstruct what men inspired by love of themselves have destroyed.
BOXOHM STATION is an artistic production and conception unit of which structure changes in relation with the encounters and desires of its two permanent members Yvo et Miguel, two drummers-percussionnists who re as wild about the drumheads as the electronics, easily switching from the djembe to the computer, from the sticks to the potentiometers.
BOXOHM STATION is a hidden laboratory in a mythic place of the Paris 18th district, ground of all kinds of sound experiments as witnessed by the recent release of a first 5 tracks CD published by Miguel et Yvo, assisted by Stephanie Tourret for the circumstance.
In spite of their differences, its thanks to the same passion: the music, that those two bands got together today for this common project : the creation of an album, and above all the strong will for sharing the same stages. Merely playing together, buoyed up with this breath of authenticity, by this time when all cleavages dont stop increasing. Music as a link ? Yes ! SSK and Boxohm are a fortunate example for this:

The meeting
2003: Associations kidam et a suivre meet the young musicians, as they realise a documentary in NGor.
March 2004 : On account of watching the documentary, sound mixer Stéphanie Tourret meet the three vocalists. Its the begining of a collaboration by internet.
February 2005 : Boxohm Station goes to Dakar to record and start the production of the trio s first album .
And so was born SSK, Sound Sunu Kattan - sound is our strengh . Moving with ease within ragga, hip-hop, reggae, without forgetting their african roots, SSK is a trio with astonishing stage power .
