Triage (TREE-ahj) : The sorting of battle and disaster victims according to a system of priorities and procedures in order to maximize the number of survivors.
Triage is the perfect moniker for a band which is trying to once again bring rise to the crumbling Massachusetts metal scene.
Expanding upon the styles of such influences as In Flames, Chimaira, Lamb Of God, God Forbid, Fear Factory, Pantera, Nothingface, Machine Head, Sevendust, Deftones, Killswitch Engage, Finger 11, All That Remains, Unearth, Slipknot, (old) Metallica, Korn, and similar artists, they have established a unique variation on a familiar sound.
Triage is a band that should strike a chord with listeners of any background. With the lead vocals by Josh Schmitt who brings both melody and aggression. The guitar work is provided by the team of Steve Bennett and Aaron Bumpus, ranges from blistering fast riffs to haunting harmonies to crushing breakdowns, creating a whirlwind of well plotted peaks and valleys. Completed by the low end additions of rhythmic bassist John Roberts and the hard hitting technical skills of drummer Andrew Bennett, since forming in 2006, Triage has played with national and local acts such as Threat Signal (nuclear blast records), Burn In Silence (prosthetic records), Suicide City, Dead By Wednesday, Stoic, Saint Diablo, ((breathe)), Thy Will Be Done, Hypersolid, and others.
