John Britton

Come now... Nonsense!

About Me

I love bread and cheese. And I love shoes.

I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !

My Interests

Writing, bashing my drums and slapping my congas, DJing, dark comedies, concerts, magazines, beautiful people who laugh at themselves, drinking fresh orange juice, the odd weirdo, open bar, Honey-Nut Cheerios, traveling, laughing at the fashionably challenged, good films, cool ass shoes, hearing a cool song for the first time, laughing.

I'd like to meet:

Good People not assholes.

Music:

Police, Pixies, the Beatles, James Brown, Nina Simone, Jurassic 5, Miles, Talking Heads, Jimmy Cliff, Jill Scott, XTC, tag team duo of Missy Elliot and Timbaland, New Order, Paul Simon, The Beat, Air, Stevie Wonder until 1981 then he started SUCKING, Kool & the Gang and the Commodores especially before the hits, The Avanlanches, DEVO, K-OS, Minnie Ripperton, Fiona Apple, Echo & the Bunnymen, Sly & the Family Stone, Kraftwerk, Public Enemy, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Blackstar, Ladytron, Res, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Specials, Al Green, Bloc Party, Bowie, Leonard Cohen, Lemon Jelly, A Tribe Called Quest, TV theme songs, and anything that's melody driven and so much more that it would take forever to list it all and of course the old song from the Weather Network that came on every 10 minutes - the new one sucks

Movies:

All About Eve (Genius!), The Graduate, French Connection, The Squid & the Whale, Mean Streets, Goodfellas, Do The Right Thing, American Beauty, Happiness, Bullit, In The Heat Of The Night, 12 Angry Men, M, Citizen Kane, Malcolm X, After Hours (one of the funniest movies EVER!) X-Men Movies and every now and then a Jerry Bruckheimer Production - guilty pleasure - (Con Air, The Rock, Coyote Ugly - he's all about bigger, louder, harder, faster and sometimes that's ok)

Television:

Lost, Law & Order, South Park (Brilliant!), Curb your Enthusiasm, Chappelle Show, Trailer Park Boys, Absolutely Fabulous, The Ed Sullivan Show, The Larry Sanders Show, Kids In The Hall, The Jeffersons and All in the Family (Best Show Ever!)

Heroes:

Mom (R.I.P.), My brother, Stewart Copeland, Sidney Poitier, Steve McQueen, Mr. Brady (He was a wicked dresser!) and all those stylishly cool dancers on Soul Train circa '71 - '74

What's up with hot chicks who like shit music?

What I like about DJing is the type of people who approach me and what they ask me to play. Sometimes it's annoying but for the most part, it's always entertaining. Being a 6'5" black man who pl...
