I like to read, write, play chess, hike, take photographs, and play video games. I am teaching myself how to paint and crochet. If anyone has any tips on these. I will definitely welcome them.
I don't mind meeting old friends as well as new. If I know you, even briefly, feel free to write. Let's catch up on old times because I know I haven't been very good about that, but better late then never. I love hearing from family members. I hate it when there are sad events to bring us together.
I am really easy going when it comes to music. If it doesn't hurt my ears or my head, I like it. I love the new System of a Down cd "Hypnotize." Green Day, Weezer, Eminem, Flogging Molly, Muse, and so many others I can't remember are brilliant. Thank you, technology, for making the ipod.
Okay, so I've started a movie journal for every movie I watch from now on whether it is in the theatre or on a dvd. The rules to this journal are simple. Pick three things to talk about from the film. No stopping, no correcting of grammar, just pure unadulterated ramblings of a film watcher. Can you tell I really like movies?
Sorry to say that I don't have a lot of time to watch a lot of TV. But to make up for it, I TIVO and buy the dvds. We throw in a couple Family Guys and Simpsons once in a while. Oh oh oh, and there will always be another episode of Mythbusters!! What will those guys do next? I would love to buy the Sopranos, but they are too expensive. Damn HBO! Regardless, technology...again...makes things possible.
I am on a Sci-Fi craze right now. The list will go on forever...Here are just a few:Mote in God's Eye The Gripping Hand (sequel) Fallen Angel The Postman (Brin) Dune Orson Scott Card books like: Ender's Game and such there's like 7 of them...I think Ringworld---well, any of the Known Space storiesI read other stuff too like Dan Brown and romance novels. I'll read just about anything if I had time, environmental, inspirational, logical, computer manuals, etc. I think that's why I have bad eyesight. Thank goodness for Lasik.
There are so many...just to name a few: Margaret Bourke-White, Frida Kahlo, Spike Lee, Mirabai, St. Theresa, above all my family and my best boy...
