Issa Stemler, piano and accordion, has performed in recitals throughout the United States and abroad. Most recently, she accompanied violinist Emil Altschuler at San Francisco’s Helen Von Ammon’s Emerging Artist Series and Virgin Records, Boston’s MIT Noon Chapel Series and King's Chapel, Homer NY’s Center for the Arts, Italy’s Castello Galeazza, Alfred University, and has appeared as soloist with the Humboldt Symphony Orchestra. Growing up in California, she accompanied members of the San Francisco Opera and held a staff accompanist position at Humboldt State University. Trained on accordion, she performs traditional Italian folk, Neopolitan songs, and tangos, and was featured on accordion as a soloist with the Humboldt State Jazz Orchestra, during their performance of "Milonga De Angel" by Astor Piazzola. Issa is currently the Director of Music at St. Bernard's and St. Joseph Catholic parishes in Eureka, CA.
