Playing, performing, writing, and listening to music. I also love weightlifting, movies, video games, books, and being a craftsman.
Ideally, it'd be really cool to meet more local people, preferably ones with interests like mine. All in all, I'm interested in meeting anyone that's able to hold a conversation...or anyone with nerves of steel. Both are important, but a functional sense of humor is mandatory.
None of these are in order. Here goes (long list):
Metal (first, of course): Megadeth, Burton-era Metallica, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Children of Bodom, Death, Testament, Anthrax, Amon Amarth, Opeth, Motorhead, Shadows Fall, newer Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Iced Earth, Dark Tranquility, Dark Moor, Hypocrisy, Nightrage, Fear My Thoughts, Into Eternity, Destruction, God Forbid, Soilwork, Evergrey, Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, Celtic Frost, Nightwish, Masterplan, Meshuggah, Stratovarius, Edguy, Firewind, Dream Evil, White Zombie, Venom, Vader, Poisonblack, Sentenced, Suicidal Tendencies, Primus, and a whole lot of others I'll add to this as I think of them.
Punk/Ska (ish): Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, The Pogues, NoFX, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Bad Religion, Lagwagon, The Eyeliners, The Misfits, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, The Ramones, The Clash, Operation Ivy, Rancid, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, MxPx, Save Ferris, old Offspring (Ignition, Smash, and the Self Titled EP from 1989), The Specials, Mephiskapheles, Buck O'Nine, MU330, The Vandals, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Social Distortion, Less Than Jake, Bouncing Souls, and again, a bunch more I'll add as I think of them.
Other shit: Paul Simon, Peter Gabriel (with Genesis and solo), Victor Wooten (with The Flecktones and solo), Squarepusher, Loreena McKennitt, Aesop Rock, Eyedea, anything from Anticon, Atmosphere, Liz Phair, P-Funk, Run DMC, Sir Mixalot, Scooter, DJ Liquid, Static-X, Powerman 5000, VNV Nation, Covenant, Vanilla Ice (I mean that, I have 3 of his CDs), Jaco Pastorius, and one more time, more that I'll add as they come to me.

Big movie geek. Here are a few:
Boondock Saints, Wayne's World 1&2, The Princess Bride, Standing In The Shadows Of Motown, Scratch, ID-4, The Incredibles, Shrek 1&2, everything from Kevin Smith, everything Monty Python, A Fish Called Wanda, Braveheart, Snatch, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Blues Brothers, Animal House, Slap Shot, The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, The Tao Of Steve, Stargate, PCU, Hudson Hawk, History Of The World Part 1, a bunch of animated flicks including Disney and assorted anime.
TV pretty much sucks. I only own one so that I can play video games and watch movies.
Orson Scott Card's Ender series, Frank Herbert's Dune and Dune Messiah, Terry Brooks' Shannara books, Tolkien's Silmarillion, Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit, C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia (since before the movie, bitches!!), Stephen Hawking's Brief History Of Time and The Universe In A Nutshell, Eric Meyer on CSS, Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, Anne Rice's first 5 Vampire Chronicles, and a whole lot of others I can't think of off the top of my head.
No one has ever demonstrated anything extraordinary enough to be considered a hero.
Some of my musical influences: Matt Wong, Cliff Burton, David Ellefson, Joe Gittleman, Steve Harris, Steve DiGiorgio, Victor Wooten, Fat Mike, Alex Webster, Jari Kainulainen, Tony Levin, and Les Claypool. All bass players, if you didn't figure that out.
