About Me

Honesty goes a long way. If one is truly honest, then he would have nothing to hide, and therefore, he would be straightforward as well. It is an obvious, yet overlooked fact that honest people are only honest as a result of their search and finding of the truth. When we ask, "What IS the truth?", I ask "What is Right and Wrong?". "There is no right or wrong. There's only popular opinion.", said Tyler Durden. And because life is filled with the balance of one thing and its opposite, this statement is both true and false. "A tree falls and no one witnesses it. Did the tree fall?". Yes and no. In the reality of the world of phenomena, the tree fell, regardless of what person witnessed it or not. Yet to the ignorant, the forest is perfectly fine. And the same is true with the mind of man. "Is he good or evil?" The frightening truth is, it only makes sense to say that there is no way to determine if one is evil until he or she displays it in the world of phenomena. This is when the tree falls. Otherwise, a man could be doing great things for his environment and community. But who is to say that he doesn't ponder the rape or murder of one of your loved ones? And this brings me to something I created called "The Hierarchy of Things That Matter." Thoughts are less than words, which are less than actions, which are less than the "real" damage actually done, which is less than what the people perceive the "real" damage to be, which is less than the lesson learned. Take for "hypothetical" example: The US has a secret agenda to bomb Japan even though they don't need to (since peace was already underway before they dropped the first bomb). This is just a thought. Announcing the attack is the threat, which brings the personal thought into the open, where people know (or think they know) the thought exists. This means nothing in comparison to the actual attack itself. A significant amount of physical ("real") damage is done, yet many Japanese are (ignorantly) glad that the bombs were dropped because it "stopped the war". This is the perception of the people. And lastly, the lesson learned is the most important, simply because none of the events that transpired meant nothing if there was nothing learned from it. But when it all comes down to it, I "Right and Wrong" do not exist in the sense that we've grown up to believe. We will NOT find the definition of Right or Wrong through Merriam Webster, the Bible, The Qu'ran, or the Bhagavad Gita. You will find right or wrong through the process of logic and making sense after taking in all the factors involved in whatever situation is at hand. I say, "To be Right, you must first be Wrong, and realize your Wrongdoing." So what is Wrong? Wrong is that which damages something, whether physical, mental, emotional, spiritual... whatever. Wrong is stupidity, which is when you know you did something Wrong and did it again anyway. If you drink, drive, and mutilate someone with a 3,000 pound bullet we call a "car", you killed someone, and you're Wrong for it. If you do it again, you're STUPID, and you're more wrong. So, since Right is the opposite of Wrong, Right must be what causes progress. Right must be what gets the the job done with no harm, or as little as possible. This is my mentality.
