About Me

Oh, there are so many interesting things to tell. I like music, movies, poker, laughs, drinks, traveling when I can, playing and watching sports (it's not easy being a Cubs fan, but it's nice to be a Colts Fan!) and hanging with my family. I live with my cool brother and like to spend time with my family and friends when I can. I'm not really sure what I want to do with my life at this point, but I'm working on that. For now I have a great job at a bookstore and the people are great. Probably the most interesting thing about me is that I spend a semester of college interning on the television show "Law & Order" in New York City. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Besides all that, I just like to relax, have a couple beers, stay low-key and enjoy life.

My Interests

Movies, music, witty banter, sarcasm and making people laugh. I've recently started building my collection of LPs. Oh, and rolled up Aces over Kings and Check-Raising tourists.

I'd like to meet:

I hope to meet some cool, interesting people here on MySpace. In regular life, I'd like to meet people that can change an impact my life in a positive way. Meeting a professional poker player would be pretty sweet, too. Oh, and I'd also like to meet the inventor of the Chinese Finger Trap. That shit is brilliant!

Music:

I'll listen to pretty much everything. I'm always trying to add to my library. Some of my favorites are: Nirvana, The Beach Boys, NIN, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Black Flag, The Who, Fugazi, The Beatles, Alice in Chains, Beck, Miles Davis, Cake, The Clash, Prince, Mew, The Pixies, The Band, Dinosaur Jr., Elvis, Faith No More, Pantera, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, QOTSA, Mudhoney, NWA, Jay-Z, Otis Redding, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, System of a Down, Johnny Cash...seriously, I could go on all night, but you get the idea. Bottom Line: I just love GOOD music that has passion.

Movies:

Lots of favorites. I don't know if you know this, but movies are kind of a big deal to me. Where to start: Sunset Boulevard, Seven, Rounders, The Departed, Little Miss Sunshine, The Shawshank Redemption, Jaws, The Usual Suspects, Dazed and Confused, Spaceballs, The Indiana Jones Films, American Beauty, The Wizard of Oz, Gone With The Wind, Touch of Evil, Sabrina, Carnival of Souls, Ed Wood, The Godfathers, Pulp Fiction, Citizen Kane, Swingers, Wedding Crashers, Star Wars, Chasing Amy, Some Like It Hot (pretty much anything Billy Wilder ever did), Hitchcock Films, Kill Bill, Casablanca, Airplane and so many more.

Television:

Any kind of poker on TV. Seinfeld is king. I'm hooked on "Lost," love "The Sopranos" and have fallen in love with this new HBO series "Big Love." I'm in love with the third wife...and seriously, it's becoming a problem. She's so adorable. Oh, yeah and "Heros."

Books:

For someone who works in a bookstore, I don't read very much. Recently, I've been on a Nick Hornby kick. I read "How to Be Good," and I just finished "High Fidelity." Both very good. Now, I'm on to a lighter read, Steve Martin's "Shopgirl." After that, the sky is the limited. I'm back on the wagon! UPDATE: Ok, so that whole thing about being back on the wagon was BS. I think I lost "Shopgirl," and I pretty much only read trashy entertainment magazines now...I'm a horrible person. **12/22/06 UPDATE** Okay, so I found "Shopgirl," but now I'm returning it before I lose it again. However, I just started reading a book called "The Dying Animal" by Philip Roth, so we'll see if I can get through that. Oh, yes but on a lighter note, I'm STILL a horrible person. UPDATE: Still horrible, but I read "Little Children," which was good and a bit sad to me though many claim it to be funny. And I'm almost done with "Into The Wild," which I am really enjoying. Off to a good start this year...maybe I'll read three books this year!

Heroes:

Edward Norton, Fatty McButterpants, Fozzy Bear, Phil Ivey and Matt Ruth. The tv show "Lost."

My Blog

To blog or not to blog...

Should I start posting a blog?  I mean, celebrities do it, so why can't I?  Thoughts?
