About Me

I prefer observing to listening, and listening to talking. I often catch myself staring at nothing in particular. at people. I cant keep a straight face. I'll probably be ten minutes late. Don't tell me how much you drank, it's not interesting. I wish I lived near a lake. I like stripes. A lot. Houndstooth makes me want to rock out. I hate it when people try to do the crotchdance with me, I like it when SK buys me dinner, i never switch the music off, I should paint my nails more often. No, I havent heard that band, I'm not sure what the lyrics are, but I sing along anyway. does the tv have to be so loud? are you gonna have that? I am so postmodern I only go on dates that last thirteen minutes, via walky talky, while hiding under the bed.I'm so postmodern I wrote a letter to the council...I think it was 'M'.I am so postmodern I held an art exhibition, a chuppa chup stuck to a swimming cap, and no one was invited.

Art, books, design, grammar and spelling, music, high fives, movies, vintage jewellery, pretty buttons, other peoples' old clothes, the correct use of the apostrophe, pandas, peanut butter, pretty boys, penguins, ants and other interesting animals, pillowtalk, heartshaped things, tattoos, how does it make you feel, shoes, cool colour combos, stringing sentences together, ancient empires and eyebrows.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, United States of Leland, Igby goes down, Stranger than Fiction, Breakfast on Pluto, Dangerous lives of Altar Boys, Hero, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Royal Tenenbaums, High Fidelity, Requiem for a Dream, Pi, Shaun of the Dead, Mysterious Skin, Eulogy, Tarantino, Luhrman. and the Wedding Singer. You have to love the cheese factor. Movies where people sing. I dont like scary movies, they give me nightmares.

Television:

Lost, Six feet under, Family Guy, Penn and Teller Bullshit, The Weakest Link, Heroes, Simpsons, Futurama, Scrubs. I also watch a lot of brainrot like Days of Lives, Bold and the Beautiful and Egoli (simultaneously), and 7de Laan and Isidingo (also simultaneously), Survivor and a lot of other non-reality shows. Thats what happens if you only have 5 channels.

Books:

I am a slightly obsessive compulsive reader. I get nervous when I dont have something to read. In desperate times I reread magazines. Give me Douglas Adams, the Life of Pi, Perfume, Special topics in Calamity Physics, Brave New World, Generation X, Ham on Rye, Caravans,Us,The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy... John Fowles, Roald Dahl, Donna Tartt, Irvine Welsh..Hunter S Thompson, of course.
