Music, good movies, interesting books, gardening, herbs, cooking, the internet, my iPod (wow ... what a great gadget!), traveling to places I've never been..... or travel in general! I've been to over 20 countries on 4 continents and have been truly blessed to travel a lot because of my career. I really enjoy Japan (been there 11 times and have been VERY immersed in the culture) but also love Italy and the midlands of England. I'm a very adventurous eater and love to try the local cuisine no matter where I am (or what it looks like!) and always try my best to learn at least a bit of the language to whatever country I'm traveling so I don't appear to be the "Typical American" that expects everyone around the globe to speak English.
Jesus, St. Francis, Albert Einstein, Princess Diana, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, JK Rowling, my maternal Grandmother, Dolly Parton, and a veritable plethora of others.....
My interest in music is so ecclectic, I can't possibly list it here. I love everything from classical to pop, country, jazz, easy listening, 80's rock, top 40, dance and techno tunes, and way more. However, you might catch me listening to a lot of Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Carrie Underwood and Michael Bublé on my iPod!
All time favorites are Tombstone (Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton) and Somewhere In Time (Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve). My DVD collection is growing however and I truly enjoy almost anything with Meryl Streep and Johnny depp.
You name it! (My friends and family call me a television addict!) I really like the "original" reality shows like American Idol, The Amazing Race, Survivor, Big Brother, The Apprentice, Dancing With The Stars, So You Think You Can Dance.... but I also like a lot of sitcoms. In fact, my DVR is my new best friend because I can watch and record simultaneous networks! Totally into "Heroes" this season and I can't wait for Volume 2 next Fall! I'm really into "LOST", "Ugly Betty", "Grey's Anatomy", "Ghost Whisperer", "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", "Desperate Housewives" and fallen in love with "Brothers & Sisters". When I'm NOT watching primetime, I like other networks like HGTV, DIY and the Food Network.
I really don't have much time to read with my work schedule. And I also have an OCD issue with novels. I feel the need to keep reading until they're done, foregoing sleep and other obligations in my life ... so I try to keep it to short novels or information books where I've learned to read a chapter or section at a time.
My parents are my true heroes ... they are the best example of "good people" I know. No matter what has been dished at them in life, they truly stay on top of the situation and have always been a good example to me of hard work, honesty and communication. I love them with all my heart!
