I'M SIZZLIN' BABY!!!

About Me

Music has been a major part of Rasheen's life ever since the age of eleven. The 26 year old, songwriter/producer, grew up in Sumter, South Carolina, a relative unknown or otherwise untapped region in the hip hop market. Having produced some of the industry's more established soul/r&b artist such as Bill Pinkney and The Original Drifters, Angie Stone, and Hootie and the Blowfish just to name a few, the Carolina Coast as it's often referred to has yet to contribute to the hip hop community. This is where Rasheen and his musical partner SunnyP fill the void. Having performed in a number of open mic talent showcases and being a featured opening act for more notable recording artist such as Wu-Tang Clan, Xzibit, and A Tribe Called Quest, Rasheen has worked rigorously to perfect his craft on stage as well as in the recording booth which the music will show. He draws heavy influence from what is often referred to as hip hop's golden era 94-96 and icons like the late Tupac Shakur and lyricist Redman. He can best be described as a southern bred lyricist, using both raw energy and emotion to reach the ears of listeners in all regions and of every demographic. He relocated to the blossoming Atlanta music scene in the fall of 98, also pursing a degree in video production at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Having graduated and experience in the field of music as well as visual arts , he is an artist who has the ability to contribute so much to his career and willing to work with other artist. This is only the beginning of what will be the Carolina Coast's entry into the hip hop arena...the time has come.

Thank You Gerald

I started off writing a real sad entry about how much it hurt to hear the news about Gerald Levert. But then I got to thinking: I don't wanna mourn G-Bear, I want to thank him. I want him to know wher...
