Russtafari was born in St. John's, Newfoundland on July 18, 1975. A DJ/Producer who embraces many styles, Russtafari is recognized as being a Ragga-jungle, Jump-Up and Hip-Hop DJ as well as a Turntablist. Russtafari first took an interest in the decks in 1987 while working for a former DJ from the UK. In return for helping him build some speakers, a very young Russtafari was given his first DJ setup (which incidentally didn't work).Russtafari took to the decks seriously in 1994/1995 under the name dj eternal and later relocated to Kitchener and formed N-Joy Productions with Jordan Teschke.Eternal's projects have include: Playing with a 9 piece funk band called "Margarita's Calling" and playing Jungle and Hip Hop on the East Coast. DJ Eternal has played as far away as Yellowknife and Halifax as well as events such as Snow Jam and showcased the Juno's.Russtafari has been full tilt focusing on his new projects, A colaboration including a bright young producer who goes by "Tallman" and Russtafari himself to form the "Dreaded Youths", with a consistent flow of dubplates and first two record releases under their belt, "Dreaded Youths" are on the rise with no signs of stopping. His two most current projects include playing in a 5 peice band called "Love Hijacker" and "RudeBWOY SoundSYSTEM" a dj duo with fellow turntablist "EVO" two dj's, 4 turntables and a sampler (check the pics!)
