About Me
Hi everyone. My name is Danielle DeNoia. I'm 20 years old. And singing is my passion. I started singing when I was around 10 years old. I didn't really listen to much music when I was growing up. Back then I was mostly concerned about playing outside, and playing house with my friends lol. But ironic how it was that most of my imagination was some how related to music. I always used to pretend I was Ariel from the little mermaid. Because there was just something so cool about being her, the youngest mermaid with "the most beautiful voice", as I think Sebastian said. I didn't know why I was so drawn to her in the begining. But all the time in my pool, I'd wrap one of those diving rings around my ankles and swim around like her, and sing her song, "Part Of Your World". Lol, you're probably thinking im lame :o). I truly realized my love for music when I was about 8 or 9. Like I said I didn't really listen to much music, my parents mostly played their era of music, which didnt really appeal to me, but I do rememeber my parents playing a lot of Mariah Carey and Celine Dion. I loved listening to them. More so of Celine Dion. When my dad would play their tapes in the car I used to close my eyes and listen, and pretend that I was on stage singing like them. I never got sick of them. When I think back, what makes sense to say is that I was just drawn to any kind of pretty voice. When I was in 4th grade, it was the thing to play an instrument. So when I failed at the flute, I thought it would be exciting to try out for the school play and a solo in the winter concert. Something about the fear of failing at that didnt stop me. That was when I realized that singing was definitely something that I wanted. And thats when I decided to listen to my own music. So I continued to listen to Mariah and Celine. But then boys took over. Do you remember Hanson? Lol, yes Hanson, introduced pop into my world. I was inlove lol. I soon moved on to the Backstreet Boys. I just loved their sound. I developed this dream of becoming a female version of them. Britney soon took over the world. And next Christina. I have to say that Christina Aguilera would definitely have to be my biggest influence. I continued to sing throughout highschool. My biggest problem was stage fright. When I was 16, I tried out for American Idol. It was the most amazing experience. And truly a great learning experience. But once again, my fear got the best of me. And sadly, I packed my bags and headed home. That was when I realized that I really needed to become more comfortable. After all, this is my dream. When I graduated highschool, I realized that there was nothing else that I could do with my life that could leave me more satisfied other than singing. So here I am with the bunches of others going after my dreams. This has been my first time recording. On anything other than a tape recorder from my living room. I really hope you guys like my stuff! I'm going to be working on two or three more tracks! My friends and my family are so important to me. I love my friends more than anything. I'm so thankful for you guys, I don't know where I'd be without you. I have an amazing voice teacher, shes more than just a teacher shes my mentor and a friend. Shes helped me so much over the years with confidence and stage presence and put a lot of time into caring about where I go with every proformance. Her and my friends have more confidence in me than I have in myself at most times, its really nice to have people behind me reminding me that I can do it. Thanks so much for your support.
