About Me

So I haven't updated my profile in a while and felt like it was time, so here goes...There are so many words that can describe "me". Although sometimes I feel like I don't even know myself (when others "think" they know me and try to tell me who I am), I DO, so here are some of the words that best describe who I am (in no particular order)...kind, generous, organized (oh Lord, am I organized), neat freak, passionate (about lots of things!), perfectionist, Christian, punctual, leader, shopaholic, blunt (sometimes a little TOO blunt), strong-willed, manager (in not just my job, but in other aspects of my life), honest, loyal, friendly, disciplined, hard-working (most of the time!), gentle. I guess the list could go on...I LOVE everything that has to do with the outdoors, with the exception of snow-skiing...tried it several times and fell on my a$$ each time!! My husband and father are awesome skiiers, but I am horrible and have no interest in skiing ever again...way too much work for the 10 minutes down the slopes. ;) My guilty pleasure is definitely shopping (if you know me, you know that's true). Friends joke about me having my own parking place at the Galleria (I have yet to get one with my name on it; still waiting for that one). I also LOVE LSU football (Geaux Tigers!). I am very devoted to my friends and family and miss my family back in Louisiana all the time. However, I wouldn't move back for anything...I love Birmingham, my friends here, and my job."For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. My Interests

I love to sing (although I don't do much of it except in the car!), dance, and read. I also LOVE to shop (at the dismay of my poor husband). When I had the flu several months ago, friends teased me that I'd "lose my reserved parking spot at the Galleria" if I didn't hurry up and get well. Ha! I get bored VERY easily, so I'm constantly trying to discover new and exciting things to do. I like to go home to Lafayette, LA when I get the chance. It's definitely not often enough though. I LOVE LOVE LSU! But it's hard being a Tigers fan when your husband is the biggest Bama fan ever. I work for an independently owned college bookstore on UAB's campus, so of course I'm a UAB fan too. Go Blazers!

Wow...I listen to everything, and I mean everything. Some of my favorites are Christina Aguilera, Barlow Girl, Natalie Grant, Shane & Shane, Chicago, Kelly Clarkson, Avalon, Bethany Dillon, Dierks Bentley, Rascal Flatts, Waterdeep, Ginny Owens, Mark Schultz, Black Eyed Peas, Mercy Me, Mary J. Blige, David Crowder Band, Ashlee Simpson, Gretchen Wison, Josh Groban, ANY of the Passion songs, Tony Bennett, Guns N Roses, The Eagles, Journey, Faith Hill, Lindsay Lohan, Selah, Salvador, Keith Urban, Coldplay...the list goes on

Movies:

I love Jurassic Park...I used to want to be a Paleontologist...that dream didn't last long! ;)

Television:

Right now I'm really into reality tv (when I get a chance to watch it). I love American Idol, Trading Spouses, Biggest Loser, and Extreme Home Makeover. My husband has recently gotten me into Grey's Anatomy, 24 and House. Oh, and I love Desperate Housewives.

Books:

I just finished reading The Devil Wears Prada...saw the movie too...the book is better. The Shopaholic Series is THE BEST! I definitely recommend. The Case For Christ and The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel are also excellent.

Update No. 3...and definitely NOT the last.

So we went to see our new RE today, and we definitely are going to have to do IVF. Why US??? Out of all the people who can have a baby naturally, why can't we??? It's just so frustra...

Follow up no. 2

So Brad and I are getting ready to start artificial insemination...I'm really nervous and excited at the same time. We were told that we basically have no chance of getting pregnant naturally......

Okaayyy...

So, got a call from my doc last week...I was told to NOT start the Clomid, and that they were calling a prescription in for me for a thyroid problem...I've got hypothyroidism...oh boy! My levels...
