About Me

This one time, I sent off one of those horrible chain letters to ten of my closest friends. It was a PowerPoint slideshow that was filled with overly sentimental sayings, and it had pictures of Looney Toons characters. The slide show also played “Autumn Sweater” by Yo La Tengo, so I found it necessary to pass the slideshow on to my friends. I thought at very least they would get to hear a great song, and I would not be cursed for ignoring the chain letter. It was a win-win situation. As it turns out, the slide show did not play a Yo La Tengo song. I just happened to turn my speakers on, and the song just happened to be playing in my music library , and it just happened to be the exact length of the slide show. None of my friends have punched me in the face for it. That is what FRIENDSHIP means! =)

My Interests

I love playing music and listening to it. My pseudo band- Generica and the Contemporaries. I want to be the type of person who owns a pellet gun, and uses it as a means of intimidation. I treat my road bike like it is a mountain bike. My tires pop, I get mad at the tires, buy new tires, and then the cycle starts again. So, I guess I am interested in non-popable tires. Who knew? This is my new favorite thing:

I'd like to meet:

Someone who likes to arm wrestle, and will let me win. I would like to meet someone who can teach me how to do stuff like this:

Music:

I love all types of music. Right now I am most interested in Sleater Kinney, Juliette and the Licks, Tegan and Sara , At the Drive in, The Smiths, Built to Spill, The Shins, L7, and really crappy dance music- "Why waste your time- you know you're gonna be mine" - that is solid fucking GOLD.

Movies:

I have discovered that I do not like to sit still very long, but if the movie will be funny or weird I will attempt to watch it.

Television:

THE OFFICE. The Simpsons, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sea Lab 2021, Wanda Does It, The D-List with Kathy Griffin.

Books:

I am on a Sarah Vowell marathon right now. Sedaris, Burroughs, Rakoff, Vonnegut. And so on.

Heroes:

Albert and Agnes. My mommy. ..

My bike video

I've been trying to make a video of my bike journies through Austin.  So far I have an hour and a half of shaky, unuseable footage.  I am also fairly sure that a hippie is following me....

Shoes and mildew - Moving forward.

I went to the mall and saw my next pair of shoes through the window of lady footlocker (There's one for US too ladies!).  But then I was like, "Fuck this, I need a new watch".  Now I am look...

Don't make me take my foot out of my mouth and kick you it with it, cause it's not going back.

I woke up this afternoon to a really weird thought. People name their private areas- you know, like cuddles or magic wand- crap like that. That is not the weird thought. I imangined I met someone w...

To the max.

I am really considering bringing back the phrase "grodie to the max". I don't really like the grodie part of the phrase(plus I can't spell it), so maybe I will just start using the "to the max" part....

Damn Houstonians and your crappy smiles

I discovered that I really like to threaten people. Not in a serious manner, but just for fun. It does not go over so well in Austin. People are really nice here, and that leaves me with no shit-talki...
