About Me

Recently Vice President Cheney was quoted as saying he didn’t care that 2/3 of the American people feel that the war in Iraq is not worth fighting because he doesn’t care what the American people think. Period. For those of you who missed this, please let me reiterate: our second in command, our Vice President, the man who ostensibly pulls G.W. Bush’s strings, doesn’t care what the majority of U.S. citizens think. It’s horrifyingly ironic that our stubborn and self-serving leaders duped us into initially pursuing a war, in the name of democracy, while furiously subverting our own democratic rights, here in our own country. How can anyone support a war, in the name of democracy, when everyday our leaders tell us they don’t care about our rights as citizens or our rights as participants in our self-determining government? How can the Iraqis really take our country’s attempt to spread democracy seriously when all we’ve down is colonize a country that no longer wants us there and told the Iraqi people their voices don’t matter? The fact of the matter is that we are in Iraq for the oil, money and power and our elected officials have subjected the U.S. citizens to fascist tactics in order to continue raping the Middle East of its natural resources that we have no legitimate claim to. I don’t begrudge Obama’s pastor for his vehement denunciation of U.S. foreign and domestic policy; anyone who can read a history book knows our country’s history is rife with racism, cultural genocide and white hegemony.
