About Me

I'm a freelance event planner in NYC with six years corporate, non-profit and personalized event planning experience. I can manage all aspects of your event including conceptualization, marketing, audience acquisition, RFP and contract process and venue/site selection. Most importantly, I can handle the planning and on site management of all facets such as food and beverage, Audio Visual, staff and show production. I've successfully managed multi-million dollar programs (and little tiny ones too) while staying within budget and meeting deadlines (and most crucial of all, keeping my cool so you keep yours!). References available on request.I travel a lot and can recommend cities or venues to fit any budget depending upon season and scope. I have many contacts nationally in the following domains: hotels, restaurants, special venues (galleries, exhibit halls, nightclubs), caterers, dj's, photographers, audio visual equipment, decor, linens, ground transportation, printing and graphic designers. My parents lived abroad during my college years so I visited them often in their homes in Azerbaijan, Russia, and England, and visited most places in between. After receiving my BBA with an emphasis on Marketing in 2000 in Texas, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and then on to Charlotte. I met tons of cool peeps and made some great connections before heading back to Htown. I started event planning in Houston - obtained my MBA in Global Management and spent the next four years traveling both domestically and internationally while event planning for various major corporations. Following four years full time event planning for software and medical firms, I began contracting in the medical field and for one of the top five auditing firms in the Houston and Dallas areas. I then relocated to NYC where I picked up clients such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Books for Kids Foundation, and Carlson Marketing. I've managed seminars/focus groups for F500 pharma co's, conducted product launches/customer events in the US and Europe in the software industry, run technological showcases, freelanced in fashion and publishing, private parties, organized sponsorship for and buyouts at major sporting events (Superbowl 2004 in Houston, PGA Tour 2005), to name a few.Hit me up if you need help! I can also help customize a trip or themed vacation for any crew - - domestic or international. I am constantly reading industry news and know all the haps on the latest and greatest when it comes to hotels, current events, special deals and insider tips.
