About Me

welcome all! I am always interested in meeting new people who share my similar interests. I am a musician, artist, vegetarian, political activist. Into music, history, politics, literature and sports (bb, fb, boxing). I still enjoy athletic pursuits, but other than the gym, i find little time. I am mainly a guitar player with vocals, but i play a little drums, bass, keys. at least enough to record my own stuff with. I make my living as a digital artist.I am co-guitarist in the indie/alternative...sometimes just insane band, lifestream. check out the link below. we will be having a new live cd coming out soon to tide us over until the currently recorded studio album is out. scheduled for the fall. this will be pushing back my solo project yet again. but i am still writing and hope to have that out by next spring/summer...i will get some demo type music up here as soon as i start actually using all the fricken recording equip. that i own ; )I am bad with correspondence because i hate being on my computer (after staring at one all day)...so be patient with regards to replies. I mean no offense, i am just not online that often. I will try to post blogs from time to time....so check....i can be entertaining sometimes ; )

My Interests

Music:

I am a disciple of the church of hendrix!!! with apostles such as miles, marley, zappa, springsteen (old stuff), motown, p-funk, little steven, coltrane, etc.i like to stay current with as much new music as possible (from hip hop to punk) while still exploring as much classic stuff as possible....coltrane, monk, coleman, zep, rhcp, grunge gods......blah, blah. too many to name.

Movies:

apocolypse now, the godfather....too many to name...(i'm a brando whore btw)

Books:

i am an avid reader....alternating between fiction and non-fiction often. i love history: knights templar type stuff, ancient/medieval also political stuff: jimmy carter's new book, master of the senate...about LBJ's days on capitol hill. When it comes to fiction i would love to sound very high brow, but while i have read many classics...huxley, hemingway..etc., i more often prefer jack higgins, elizabeth peters, james rollins, dan brown type stuff. Can't help it. I read non-fiction for enlightenment, fiction for fun and escapism!

Heroes:

anyone who tries to put other's needs b4 their own...i say try because we will all fail from time to time....the effort is what counts. realizing that you should take care of all people/living things that are more defenseless than yourself...again it's about the compassion, empathy and effort. standards that i unfortunately fall short of myself from time to time.....but i'm trying...i hope that counts.....(man, am i a self righteous pompous ass or what??? ; )
