Emerging from the depths of Central Florida comes a hardrock band unfounded and unrefined from the local genre. Formed in early 2003 and completing its line up by mid 2005, Mourning Yesterday hit the road running, earning a strong reputation as a great live band.
With the completion of their first album, Mourning Yesterday began drawing bigger audiences at every show. With every show being more intense and refined while constantly gigging around Central Florida, Mourning Yesterday has earned their place within the local musician community by priding themselves on their dedication, professionalism and motivation to their craft.
Receiving radio air play throughout Central Florida and placing 6th place in the 2004 Emergenza battle of the bands competition in Orlando, Mourning Yesterday has been recognized as one of Central Florida premier upcoming hard rock groups to date. Backgrounds ranging from musical influences such as Godsmack, Dream Theater, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, and Bon Jovi to name a few, Mourning Yesterday's hard-edged sound, original look, and professional chemistry has made them stand out from the rest of the scene through live shows and having constant exposure through the World Wide Web.
