Music:
I enjoy a wide range of music with the exception of Country. I enjoy oldies, jazz, R&B, classic rock, 80s new wave, 90s, modern rock, and some ...yes some...rap. As one who appreciates music and the different styles that artists bring to the table, I can appreciate many types of music. Although I do appreciate country, it is not a genre that I enjoy hearing due to it's twangy sound, annoying vocal performances. However, some of my favorite bands are Depeche Mode, U2, The Cure, The Smiths, 311, Foo Fighters, Hoobastank, Linkin Park, The Strokes, Franz Ferdidnand, The Killers, Muse, Incubus, Interpol, Fall Out Boy, Seven System, As I Lay Dying, Kutless, Switchfoot, and Coldplay

Movies:
I love any historically based movie. More specifically, I tend to enjoy a broad collection of War films because they encapture the essence of the beauty of life and its fragility. Some of my favorites include Band of Brothers, The Thin Red Line, Life is Beautiful, The Pianist, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Saving Private Ryan, and many more. On the contrary I also love a good laugh. Some of my favorites are Dumb and Dumber, Austin Powers series, Scary Movie series, and some classics such as Spaceballs ("I see your schwartz is as big as MINE!"), and Airplane ("I like my coffee like I like my men" - little girl), Officespace ("Peter, whaaaaaat's happening??") and I can't forget the goonies.... TRUFFLE SHUFFLE...gotta love them jello jigglers. And of course, my very own movie, Napoleon Dynamite.... like how could I not love my own movie? GOSH! I'm always up for a good horror film too although I hate to watch when something pops out when I know it's coming.
Television:
I would rather gain brain cells than lose them. For this reason I don't watch much television at all. So, if I do, I tend to navigate towards The History Channel, Animal Planet, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, and other stimulating trivia game shows. I love Family Guy, MXC (most extreme elimination challenge), and always down for a good butt kicking on The Ultimate Fighter. Blind Date is hilarious, I love the commentary. Learning a lot from Way of the Master on TBN as of late.
Books:
The best love letter of all time, the Bible. Also, I'm an avid fan of John Eldridge books (ie. The Sacred Romance, Waking the Dead, and Wild at Heart). I have also enjoyed Stephen Arterburn's books Every Man's Battle and Every Woman's Desire. I continually work through christian literature and I'm also starting studies on islam and mormonism.
Heroes:
My Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. He paid the debt that I could never pay and I owe him eternally.
Secondly, President George W. Bush.
Here's a man who has lead this great nation towards a greater quality of life for humankind amidst violent opposition from mediocre minds. He has stood firm in his decisions based on moral principles and has not waivered. He has experienced God's grace and mercy throughout his life and honors God in his leadership. Although those who live in darkness will always expel the light of truth, this is a man everyone should respect!
