George Davis is an upcoming electronic music artist that has build himself a solid foundation with countless productions ranging from soulful and deep house to acid jazz loaden brokenbeat tracks and remixes. Besides that he's an incredible live performer, playing keys, percussions and singing in his own acid jazz, funk and house cover band "the present".
2003 saw his first release with a track on the compilation Electronic Basics on Music 2 records. With the formation Chocolate Deluxe he has been a supporting act of Jazzanova, Vienna Scientist, LAVA and Strike Boys. As a solo act he performed many live gigs amongst others with Kosma, Pedo Knopp, Turku Loco and DJ Sven Hellwig. rocking clubs all over south Germany.
In 2006 he and his posse released the first ep on their own highsteppin' rec. label, featuring disco, deep house, downbeat and brokenbeat tracks.
Together with Jelly Jam and Prickly Pear he formed the Doesn't Matters, a hiphop-neosoul-instrumental project.
His 2007 on UK Basic released "George Davis EP" boosted him from a national to an international level, bringing him to the Top20 US house charts and the Top10 on traxsource.com and earning him top reviews during the 2007 Miami WMC. "The latest addition to the UK Basic rooster is german singer, musician and producer George Davis who presents a great three track deep house EP. "The feather" is a deeply bouncin' track with great synth riffs, lovely strings and male spoken words, while "Bumpa" is a jazz infused house track featuring a catchy piano and lovely flute over a deeply thumpin' beat, with the added strings giving it a deep feeling. Lastly "Atmosphere" is a broken beat number with marvellous strings and rhodes chords giving it a laidback feeling."
