Wiz Entertainment [email protected] 1983 Mr. Attitude who is also known as Wiz, a producer and artist from New Orleans Louisiana who started out as a Dj at the age of 12 in 1983. At the age of 14, his big break as a Dj came by way of a school dance at P.A. Capdau Junior High School at witch Wiz was a student. Well into his teens Wiz went on to Dj at most of the areas junior and senior high schools earning Wiz a hot spot Dj at the Fresh Fest in New Orleans in 1987. After earning street level respect as a young Dj Wiz went on to battle other local Dj€™s for money, equipment and bragging rights.After experiencing great success as a Dj, it was time for Wiz to explore another level of musical talents. Wiz 1991 After the success as a Dj, Wiz was in the process of creating rhymes and rhythms over industry hip-hop beats. With many influences from successful chart topping artist such as, LL Cool J, Rakim, Too Short and more before long, Wiz was entering many local talent and gong shows however, did not win. As an up and coming artist Wiz did not give up in 1992 Wiz entered, a local gong show hosted by the late Bobby Marchan and yet again did not win. This was not the end of a never beginning career, a few weeks later Wiz tried again, this time with a different rhyme scheme and a different approach triumphantly winning 2nd place at another Bobby Marchand Gong Show. With the 1st place winning of the very next weeks gong show as well Wiz captured the attention of several local record companies but still unsigned.Wiz 1992 By the summer of 1992, Wiz met up with another local Dj by the name of Mannie Fresh who introduced Wiz to the Cash Money Records Rap Contest. After a few weeks of re writing rhymes and days of on looking frustration Wiz finally entered and won first place catching the interest of Cash Money€™s CEO Brian Williams. Later in 1992, Wiz signed his first recording contract with Manicure Records with the debut single €œHit The Bridge€? and the follow up gong show winner €œWhat Hoes Do For Money€?.Wiz 1993 With the mild success of Wiz first single he also produced other local acts such as R.Y.P. and Sporty T. the first artist on Big Boy Records who later launched the career of Jive Records Platinum artist Mystical. Later in 1994 Wiz teamed up with child hood friend now known as Freak Nasty to form the group Triple X on Ichiban Records selling over 300,000 copies of the hit singles Get It Girl and Down Low.Wiz 1995 Wiz a well-established artist and producer started his own production company of Wiz Entertainment Inc on April 10, 1995. With countless hours and days of s studio experience Wiz next big break came with the meeting of Luther €œLuke€? Campbell in a local nightclub in New Orleans. With the impressive flow and rhymes, Luke invited Wiz to Miami for a brief meeting €. Unfortunately, the deal took a turn for the worst with disagreements of contractual agreements Wiz returned to New Orleans.
