My Interests

Making good stuff out of junk, writing, drawing, painting, travel, reading, music...

I'd like to meet:

Okay, I don't know if someone like this even exists, but I would like to meet a SINGLE GUY who is my age/a little younger, who is HONEST, at least 5'10", of IRISH/Scottish heritage, who is INTELLIGENT, READS, has GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR, is CREATIVE, KIND, SPIRITUAL, LIKES ANIMALS & KIDS & OLD PEOPLE, is LOYAL, doesn't have kids yet, but WANTS KIDS, has a decent JOB & a decent CAR, doesn't live with his parents or a million roommates, has HAIR, doesn't drink/smoke/do drugs/have tourette's/tattoos on his neck... You get the idea...PURE FANTASY!!! He might as well look like JUDE LAW too. (Doesn't hurt to DREAM, does it?)

Music:

Tori Amos, The Sundays, The Cure, most 80's alternative/new wave/punk/whatever, Billie Holiday, Dropkick Murphys, Better Than Ezra, Elvis, a little bit of just about everything...couldn't imagine my life without it!

Movies:

Always, Meatballs, Real Genius, Love Me Tender, Chasing Amy, anything with Jude Law...

Television:

I have probably seen every episode of Law & Order ever made! My Nana and I used to watch the re-runs every evening... I don't really watch much tv now, tho'

Books:

Stones from the River, by Ursula Hegi: This book really made me look at things in a different way. It took about a week after I finished reading it to "recover." One by Richard Bach never fails to cheer me up.

Heroes:

Maya Angelou, Oprah Winfrey, Grandma & Paw, Nana & Papa, Pap, Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Teresa, Pope John Paul II, the Dalai Lama (not necessarily in that order).

Title Transfer

Today I went with dad to transfer Nana's car into my name.  I didn't think it would bother me, but after we were done and I got back into the car I burst into tears.  I'd much rather have he...
