I like all kinds of stuff....the local music scene (and doing shots with the Ed C's bartenders), salt-water fishing, yoga, poker, Jagermeister, vodka and cranberry with a lime, ribbed condoms and furry handcuffs, Publix wraps, Chicken Grill, Yamato, TCBY, and non-fat mocha lattes. And of course, my rat terrier puppy, Lucy Jager Pteradactyl Garmon Hinnant (check out her webpage at http://www.dogster.com/pet_page.php?j=t&i=248423). There are some things I don't like....zombies, peppers and onions, waiting in lines, grocery shopping and meal planning, hurricane season, emo, Jeb!, and student loans.
I want to meet "They." As in, "They say you should drink 8 glasses of water a day" and "They say ignorance is bliss." "They" sound very intelligent and wise and I would like to hear them say "Erin is fanfuckingtastic." And everyone will believe them because "They" said it.
I have Launchcast Plus, so I listen to Slayer, Metallica, Hole, Killswitch Engage (my current favorite!), Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Cradle of Filth, Pantera, Lamb of God, In Flames, Mastodon, Lacuna Coil, Arch Enemy, Black Sabbath, etc etc etc ALL day at work. And the occasional nonmetal song will come on every now and again- 80's music does, in fact, kick ass.I like the local boys...if you are anyone who knows anything then you know which bands in Gainesville are worth going to see :)
I love movies that are exceptionally cheesy like "The 5th Element" and "Charlie's Angels." Anything by Kevin Smith (especially "Dogma") or Disney/Pixar are top shelf. "Spiderman" and the "X-Men" movies are really fun, too.
I've allowed a morbid curiosity to develop into a disturbing loyalty to "American Idol." "Lost" and "House" are awesome. We've spent the summer watching past seasons of "24" and that is my new favorite.
Anything by Kurt Vonnegut and Douglas Coupland is awesome. I am also a Harry Potter lover. I just read "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and I really liked it.If you're into mystery and history, read the novels "Artifacts" and "Relics" by Mary Anna Evans- not just because they were written by my boyfriend's mother but because they really are great books :)
"Hero" is too broad of a term. People who don't shoot me if I accidently cut them off in traffic, the guy at the Publix deli who chops up the tomato before he puts it in my turkey wrap, a teenage girl with a healthy self image, Janet Reno, my caller ID, and 18 year old soldiers getting sent to Iraq to fulfill some politician's asinine agenda are all heros in my eyes.
