i earn my living as a librarian so i dont read much. once you have taken out the obvious things such as catch 22, you are left with my fondness for crime fiction so ian rankin's rebus novels, james lee burke, michael connolly, lee child, robert crais, tim dorsey, carl hiaasen and probably lots more i cant rememberi also really love terry pratchett. i dont read anything else approaching the same territory, but pratchett has a wonderful knack of writing about the problems of the modern world within the framework of an absurd other universe. and making me laugh
