Ike Ude
Ike Ude is an artist, aesthete, writer, and publisher of New York based aRUDE magazine. In his media-based art, he uses photography to explore and deconstruct issues of representation and identity constructs. Currently, he is using photography as a formal framework in reconstructing and portraying different tropes of beauty. He is working on his first feautre film, The Exquisites; and on an experimental Dance/Multimedia film, Jet e veux, as well as on other art projects. He has participated in various international solo and group exhibitions at the Guggenheim, MAK, Vienna-Austria, UCR/California Museum of Photography, ICA Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, SERT Gallery, Harvard University. Ike Ude lives and works in New York.
