i'm absolutely not into hero worshipping. i don't know how he was in person but with his msuic and lyrics he strongly influenced my thinking and my way to approach things. and i have gotten on well with almost every other joe strummer fan i ever met. in my eyes it's a fantastic achievement if you bring totally different people together. thanks for that, joe!
i am happy that from early on i had the opportunity to travel around most of europe and on a few occasions to africa and america and to meet people from all over the world. this gave me a global perspective - something a few people around unfortunately lack.
i love the alps near my hometown (their last extensions terminate at the outskirts of vienna in the form of roving hills) and as often as i can i go trekking. here are a few pics of a winter trip i made last year
