The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls.

About Me

"He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." -Hunter S. Thompson

Former Phuture Productions Dj / light & sound technician from a time that no longer exists, standing on the high water mark where that high and mighty wave finally crashed and pulled back to the sea. Someday I'll write a script about it, and I'll need everybody who was there to compile it with me.

I will never forget being a part of Phuture Productions, traveling all over the Northeast performing astonishing lightshows, pushing 50,000 watt soundsystems until the subwoofers burned, spinning records until the crowd surged with ecstasy, and bonding friendships that have stood the test of time and mortality. There have been times since I have owned little more than a box of records, two turntables, a cheap Gemini mixer and a bag of clothes. I never lost hope in a return of the vibe, I've stayed true to electronic music and would love to see a comeback of the New England rave scene. It was my home for several years and the people I knew were like family to me.

Over the past 10 years I have moved six times and over 14,000 miles from one coast of the United States to the next. I have shaken hands with politicians and celebrities, homeless vets and alcoholics. I have been broke and beaten, wealthy and strong, lost and forgotten, and home where I am loved. I've slept in California kings and felt the hard wood of a cold floor. Had the feeling of living on the edge and never stopping, but wanting to leave and never look back. Felt the energy of thousands of people in harmony, swelling like a giant surge about to break at any moment, and seen something I love get destroyed. I have taken walks down very unusual streets and seen some things even I can't really explain. I owe my experiences to every person who endured them with me, I would not be who I am today without them. Catch me sometime when I'm drunk and I'll tell you the story of my life, as long as you've got five seconds to spare.

I find my fun now in Taekwon-do. While competing internationally I have met a great deal of people from all over the world, and am a member of the United States Taekwon-Do Federation. I find a great deal of accomplishment in competing. The people I meet have opened my eyes to cities and cultures I never knew existed. It also gives me a great deal of pleasure to exhibit and compare all that I have learned of this incredible Martial Art.

I live in Maynard, Massachusetts with my Wife Meaghan our cat Dusty, our crazy cat Ruru and the memory of our cat Rockey. I make my money as a Production Assistant for Boston Films, and I teach Taekwon-Do on the side. I instruct and train at The Concord School of Taekwon-Do in Concord, Massachusetts and the people I train with are some of the finest people I have ever met.

You are now marked on my profile visitor map!

Music:

I could spend all day here listing all the great music that I love, so I'll just list the genres I listen to. Rock n' Roll, Punk Rock, Classical, Jazz, 70's Funk and Soul, 80's New Wave, Psy Trance, Progressive Trance, Deep House, Breaks, Jungle, Drum n' Bass, I absolutely hate Country but love Western, and I feel groovy when I hear Disco...

Movies:

I love all types of movies. I'll watch just about anything, I'll only like the movies that are good, and I'll quote the ones I love. Action/Sci-fi, Comedy, Drama, etc. I love all types of movies old and new.

Television:

I choose to watch as little television as possible, but I admit, I do fall victim to a good story, even if it is on tv. Lost is great, 24, CSI, etc. But I watch mostly educational or historical programs, shows most of the population would probably find boring.

Books:

Swan Song, by Robert R. McCammon, all of the Dark Tower books by Stephen King, The Talisman, by Stephen King, Legend of a Rock Star, by Dee Dee Ramone, Stranger in a Strange Land, By Robert Heinlein, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, by Ken Kesey, The Theif of Always, by Clive Barker, White Fang and The Call of the Wild, by Jack London.

Heroes:

Schwarzenegger

The most accomplished individual of our time. His determination has shot him to the pinnalcle of every industry he has worked in. He is the ultimate role model for anyone who has ever worked hard to overcome tremendous obstacles in achieving thier goals.
General Choi Hong Hi

He combined and disproved some of the oldest martial arts techniques and created Taekwon-Do, the most practical and powerful martial art known to the entire world. He worked until his life's end at 84, to better and further the art of Taekwon-Do.
Patrick Roy
The greatest NHL goaltender ever to play the game. He revolutionized the position and holds the most NHL records for a goaltender, including most wins. His style changed the art of goaltending, and even though he is several years retired, he is still the man to beat.
Roger Waters
Former member and founder of the Hall of Fame rock band Pink Floyd. He was one of the first musicians to utilize synthesizers amongst rock music, and create the first actual "alternative" music. His album, "Dark Side of the Moon" has remained on the Billboard charts for over 30 years.

My Blog

I've finally gone digital...

I used to say that "only real dj's spin vinyl," then all the "real" dj's I knew started buying and using digital media. Then I saw the price of this stuff and said, "no way man, I'm happy with vinyl."...
