I tilt my head to the left, intentionally

About Me

I really try to make people laugh b/c its something that nobody doesnt love to do....so I get some enjoyment out of facilitating such. I like giving advice when asked. Spending all day doing nothing with my lovely lady will always make me happy. I make lists for everything, (check out tadalist.com if you do the same. Things that I like
I like sushi, sake, and competitive games of Uno, although I've never done all at once. I like New Balance walking sneakers - I could sleep in them ('I sport New Balance sneakers to avoid a narrow path' -T.C.Q.). I like Kimchi (the person, not the food), thai food (specifically Volcano chicken b/c it can make the whole room turn around in jealously of your meal), Chicken adobo, white tea (peach), good espresso, oysters, mojitos (I even grow my own mint for them), whiskey (or ammoretto) sours, Electric Lemonade, Penne ala vodka, molten cake, buffalo wings, root-beer floats, slurpees (coke flavored), cherry soda, juicy fruit, funnel cakes, pineapple, tuna (seared-rare or sashimi), orbitz citrus mint, macaroni salad, grape nuts, peanut butter & jelly, sarcasm, taking apart electronics, getting drunk off wine, country music and Liz Cho (Eyewitness News). I like to play badminton, but I think points should be awarded for style & grace... 'cuz dammit I got it. Self Improvement
I tried to learn Mandarin Chinese. I decided to learn just for business types of things. (Its not so easy, I've given up), in the past I've learned some Tagalog. And now due to some pleasureable modifications in my lifestyle, I am interested in expanding my knowledge of Vietnamese language and culture.I'm trying to get some physical activity. I'm thinking about learning Muay Thai kickboxing. (Update: the DVD I bought was no good, I've totally abandoned that idea). I've bought a home-gym also so I'm looking forward to ripping the sleeves off all my shirts. ;) (Update: I'm apparently too lazy to use it, lol). But a fresh new exciting update is yoga, my company has started offering free yoga lessons and I'm loving it.Step aside suckers, I'm learning to play the bongo drums. Yeah thats right. I got my "Have fun playing Bongos" dvd, and got a fresh set of bongos for my bday. Dont ask why, I just needed a hobby. (Update: It turns out, as I knew, I have no rhythm - someone needs to teach me how to get some) Otherly(?) Improvement
Several months ago I decided to help my 'little' brother (17y/o) to lose weight. I had sponsored him - paying him $2 per pound in a month. Minimum 5lbs, with a goal of 8lbs. My roomate got in on the action and is offering him $1 per pound plus $0.50 per pushup done consecutively. Its funny, but its real motivation for my bro, he's really excited about it. Update: He lost an impressive 8lbs in one month, earning $24. Sponsorship has ended, but he is continuing on his own to lose weight. Update: He has lost +70lbs in one year, beat that. Things that I dislike
If you know me, you know that I am disgusted by: dog or cat food (specifically cat, specifically wet food). I am also disgusted by large amounts of ketchup. Its not about the ketchup itself - I'm ok with that - just ketchup as it exists in relative ratio to whatever it is with. Empty ketchup packets are gross, and ditto on ketchup w/ eggs. My third major disgust is bologna. Nothing else to say about it - cant stand the taste, look, and especially the smell. Other things I just generally dislike are: ironing, washing dishes, and packing/unpacking luggage. I have no patience for wrapping presents. (But ironically I'm known to be a very thoughtful gift-giver nonetheless.) Cursing is unnecessary most of the f#%ing time. Long Island accents make me cringe (but I'm sure I have one). I've recently been reminded that I dont like when people clap when they are laughing, in social situations. Example: "Oh man that was a good one... haha [clap clap clap]" If you do it, I wont judge you for it, but keep it to a minimum. ;). I cringe when I hear people pronounce 'ricotta' as 'rigoat' or 'prosciutto' as 'proshoot' - there are extra letters at the end, I'm Italian also and I know how the language is pronounced - and that aint it. I loathe (hate) Dave Matthews Band. I dont like talking to waiters/waitresses - nope I dont think I'm better than them, I just dont like the small talk and overtly fake friendliness. I'm part Sicilian but believe it or not, I really dont like Italian food. I Bet You Didnt Know
In high school I was voted "Most Sophisticated". People tell me that when I talk, I leave the 'g' off the end of any word ending with 'ing'. I dont know what they are talkin about. (Update: It must be really bad, I've been having people not understand what I'm saying. Lately I've been concious of it and am correcting myself after I say it. Further Update: I am making amazinG progress, I think I've fixed the problem, seriously). I am also pretty positive that 'brang' is a word - and until you can convince me otherwise... I'm using it. When I sneeze, I usually sneeze 4-5 times in a row. When I say "seriously" I mean it... I cant lie on a 'seriously'. Just Dont Call Me Late for Dinner
In business, and among guy friends I'm Joe. My father usually refers to me as Joseph. My mother calls me Joe. My sister and most female friends call me Joey. My best-friend Tom and his parents who've known me since I was 7, can/do call me Joey. So take your pick.

My Interests

Anything to do with business, and entrepreneurship especially. I've created several small businesses and ventures and do webdesign as a hobby/side-biz. I keep a notebook of every business idea I've ever had. I enjoy managing finances. I'm ambitious and driven, and serious about my career and future - but at the same time I seriously hope my future doesnt involve working for the rest of my life.

I'd like to meet:

I dont need to meet anyone else from here. I've met so many great people already. So here is free advice: dont be afraid to make a friend with a stranger, you might find yourself a friend for life, or more. A better quote than you...
I have to go...I have a roll of lifesavers in my pocket and pineapple is next....
-(dash) Mitch Hedberg"I like rice, rice is great when you're hungry and you want to eat 2,000 of something" - Mitch Hedberg"Why dont I iron the back of your clothes? Because who cares what anyone thinks of you when you're walking away" - My Mother (circa 1990s)"Eating meat is fun!" - My 7 y/o neice Sophia, raised as a vegan - said while eating a real hotdog."I hate you... but I dont, and I hate that I dont" - Troy (my summer intern)"You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams" -Dr. Suess"Dont jingle change in your pockets while you're selling, the customer is just thinking 'Whats he got there, a quarter and a dime... or maybe a couple of pennies... or is it some nickels and...." -Dick Forester (the self-proclaimed [& proven] greatest salesman in the world, my old boss when I worked at Radio Shack, while in school. RIP)"If this law passes, how do you suppose that these companies would sell their products - possibly with the help of some type of futuristic wired network of super computers" -My brother Andrew, 2004 [sarcasm: the super network he describes is what we call the 'internet')"Well you do what you do and you pay for your sins; And there's no such thing as what might have been. That's a waste of time. Drive you out of your mind" - Tim McGraw, 'Red Rag-Top' Places I've Been
