About Me

Cassavetes is from Atlanta as you might have noticed since it's next to our photo. Is it necessary to know that? Maybe it helps to connect us with a sound. There are pretty awesome sounds coming out of Atlanta. Really there always has been a lot of impressive music here but alas, we never get our credit. Perhaps it's better that way. it's like that little cafe you love and never want ruined by crowds and prom dates.
CASSAVETES (that's us) released our first full-length record, Funny Story, on the indie pop / indie rock label Headphone Treats in the spring of 2006. It's available at Criminal Records in Atlanta, CDBaby , Amazon , iTunes , AmieStreet , Emusic, Rhapsody, Last.fm , and the rest of the online thing. Seriously, there are a lot of online stores. You know, in case you just like one song. Really though -- Funny Story is meant to be listened to in one sitting...cover to cover if you will. In fact, you can stream it for free if you like and see for yourself. I know a lot of bands say that but we split a lot of hairs arranging that album all for you! No really it was kinda mostly for us but we knew you'd love it too!
So thanks for stopping by. We hope you like what you hear and we hope to see you out sometime.
Anyway, thanks again for stopping by. Talk to you soon. QUICK FIX! - download the full album for half price.
