Recently I have mostly been listening to - Sikth, Hacride, Lamb of God, Chimaira, Deftones, Mastodon, Isis and Strapping Young Lad. Oh, and Tenacious D. I think that gives you a good indication of where the majority of my music tastes lie.
The bands that changed my life were The Beatles and Tool.
My favourite singers are Chris Cornell, Jeff Buckley (RIP) and Maynard James Keenan

Films I've loved recently include Pan's Labyrinth, Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor), The Departed, Sin City, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Sunshine, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Prestige, Ong-Bak, Oldboy, Lady Vengeance and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Also love Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings and cheesy 80s sci-fi stuff like Total Recall.

Oh yeah, and never watch Red Dwarf with me, I'm an incredibly geeky uber-fan, know all the lines and will probably irritate the shit out of you.

Everything by Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Isaac Asimov and JRR Tolkien, although I'll give anything a go. Have also had my mind messed with by 'Wonderland Avenue', 'No One Here Gets Out Alive' (both mental books about Jim Morrison and The Doors), 'Sophie's World' and 'The Prestige'. Currently having a go at 'A Brief History of Time' by Stephen Hawking...
Heroes:
Douglas Adams (RIP). Read 'The Salmon Of Doubt' and 'Last Chance To See' and you will realise that the world is a much less interesting place without this man around.
