The underground is on fire and the streets are talking. There's a new kid on the set he"s a rhyme scientist and he's mixing aggresive lyrics, stunning wordplay and mind boggling metaphors designed to explode when spit.Every few years, hip hop is blessed with a new brand of flavor, In 94' we were blessed with Nas and Notorious Big, In"96 we got a taste of Jay-Z and then came Eminenm in'99 to hold the crown. Now comes North carolina"s own Grammer.Born Deon Morgan in Scotland Neck, NC, Grammer was raised by his grandmother for the first twelve years of his life. As a teenager, he moved to Staten Island, NY to live with his mother,a single parent. At age 14, rap piqued Grammer's interest and he began to participate in freestyle battles, ciphers and anything else he could flow with.The streets acknoledge his skills and he eventually earned a spot on broadcast TV show, Shaolin Finest. Grammer's interet in music began to redirect his focus from school to the streets, but before he could get himself into trouble, his mother moved out of New york and relocated to Charlotte, NC.In Charlotte, Grammer began Hitting the studio and recording albums with local producers like Al bond,with bond He recorded underground hits like, "Ill Technique" and "I Spit the Real" in 1999. He became the first artist to be featured on bond's compilation album with Mastermind Records.Through his lyrical dealings, Grammer would later meet a well-known Charlotte dj by the name of D.R. Together the pair cut a remake of Rakim's classic "Microphone Fiend 04" as well as other hot joints like "Look At Me".In June of 2004, Grammer completed an underground mixtape "Street Heat Volume 1," hosted by Boogie D and DJ Polo, At press time,he was in the studio putting the finishing touches on his debut album, "Indecisive" with producer Rush and Jay Manifest, G4 and Phil. The album was released early 2005 on the record label he owns, On The Grind Entertainment (OTG records).Since 2005, Grammer continue to make his presence felt throygh varios appearances on local radio stations such as Power 98 fm and Hot 92.7 as well as public access tv shows. He also released a follow up mixtape called, "Street Heat Volume 2" in early 2006. Its a collaboration mixtape with artist that's hot right now,it was meant to show he could compete with any artist thats hot and chow whis versatility which he did. Also schedule for release in 2008 is a new mistape called, "State Of Emergency". This mixtape promise to bring lyrics and metaphors back to hip hop!Grammer is bubbling on the scene and heating things up to prepare the streets for his reign. He has open for big artist such as 50 Cent, T.I, Ludacrsi, Young Jeezy, Destiny Child, Ciara, Fat Joe, Pastor Troy and a list of others. Grammer has amazingly sold a total of 50,000 copies of Indecisive the album and both volumes of the Steet Heat mixtapes Volume 1 and Volume 2.
