Raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, Lynne moved to New York City soon after highschool to pursue her music career. There, her vocal and songwriting gifts were able to thrive. Lynne started playing at clubs around town - at the legendary Bitter End, The Rockwood Music Hall, Arlenes Grocery and the Cutting room, to name a few - performing her growing catalog of songs. She played hundreds of gigs, honing her craft.Eventually, Lynne met Steve Skinner, whose credits include arrangement and production work for Bette Midler, Chaka Khan, and the off-Broadway production of Rent, and Arnie Roman, co-author of songs recorded by Cher, Michelle Wright, Trisha Yearwood, the Pointer Sisters, and Celine Dion. Together, Steve, Arnie and Lynne conceived a number of songs, some of which appear on Lynne's forthcoming debut CD.Television also took note of Lynne's talent - her music could soon be heard on several television shows including Jack & Jill (The WB), As The World Turns (CBS), and on Lifetime Television.
Lynne was briefly signed to Ruff Ryders/Ruff Pop Records where she sang and co-wrote the song "Same Cry" on Ruff Ryders/Virgin recording artist Jin's new album, "The Rest Is History." In addition, a special version of "So Serious" is featured on Ruff Ryders' Volume Four Compilation CD, "The Redemption."
Sting producer and collaborator, Kipper, recently completed work on a music sampler for Bang and Olufsen which included Sting, Paul Carrack (Squeeze, Mike & The Mechanics) and Julia Fordham amongst others. Kipper selected Lynne's song "This is Not About You" for this CD as well, saying in the liner notes, "I was knocked out by her energy and her vocals and the freshness... I believe she has got what it takes. It's great to hear a female artist breaking the mold!"In other recent news, Lynne exploded onto RADIO AOL, where she is a featured artist, and her singles, "So Serious", "Human", and "I Must Be Crazy" are in heavy rotation.
The first single on Lynne's new CD, combines her melodic, impassioned vocals with a gritty energy brought to the table by producer Shane McConnell. Drums on this and other tracks are provided by Sting and Steely Dan drummer, Keith Carlock.
