About Me

"BILL BECK, EVERYBODY!!!"
My name is Dave. My friends call me Bill Beck sometimes. If you really want to know why, then ask. I'm 23, and I live in St. Louis. I've got my degree in Mechanical Engineering from SLU, and I'm finally done with school... Although, I will be going back for my MBA. I work for Chrysler as a product engineer for powertrain components at the St. Louis North assembly plant (the Dodge plant where the Rams are made). I bought a 2006 Corvette Z06 as a graduation present to myself. It's Le Mans Blue, loaded to the brim, expensive as fuck, and more fun than I could have imagined. I pay a shit-ton for it, but it's completely worth it... and NO, mommy and daddy didn't shell out a dime for it, so if you think I'm spoiled by my parents, then you can cram it. Some people will call me pessimistic, but ultimately, I'm just realistic about life. I know what to expect, I know when to get my hopes up, and I know when to just let life take it's course and roll with the bad shit. I enjoy not acting my age, which includes racing, drinking, blasting music, and just being a young guy at heart. I'm very off the wall... deal with it.
I like plenty of stuff, but not really the typical guy crap. I love bar sports like bowling, darts, shuffleboard, and pool. Goofing off and being stupid is definitely an AWESOME way to pass the time (explosives, potato guns, frisbee, shitty trivia at Applebee's, tournament style grab ass...). Ass-hattery with friends is ultimately the best pass-time there is... and it's always bound to be a great time. I absolutely love music, and if you don't like what I like to listen to, then that's too damn bad. I LOVE cars. You don't even understand. I especially love my 'Vette. Girls, if you know what a C6 Z06 is... you automatically get tons and tons of cool points in my book. I love working on cars too, although I really don't have the opportunities to do it anymore. I'm damn grateful for the ability to fix things myself. I love money, and not much else needs to be said about that. Ultimately though... good friends and good company are the most enjoyable things out there.
The list of what I don't like could go on and on. I hate bitches... no matter how attractive they are. I also hate liars. If you're one of the two, then I suggest you go to hell. If you really want to know what else I don't like, then ask. Be warned, the list might go on for a while.
If you don't like what I have to say... or if I don't like what you have to say... then tough shit. Otherwise, feel free to talk to me. Chances are, I'll respond. I have a habit of saying crazy shit though, so be prepared... If you want to get a hold of me on AIM, my screen name is SteckDW (my desktop) or VulgarDave (my laptop). Yes, I have two computers with independent screen names... Whoop-dee-doo.

I don't really have any heroes.

So it's pretty obvious I can't drive

A collection of 60' times in the 2.5 second range is a pretty good indicator that I can't launch my Z06 for shit.  Hopefully some more track experience will yield better results.  For now, I...
