Movies:
1408, based on the 2002 short story written by Stephen King.
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. It wasn't a slasher, gore horror flick - more psychological in the style of Hitchcock. This, to me, makes it the best horror flick currently out there.
Television:
"Shut up, you half-a-communist, pantywearin', liberal weenie!" - Imus is back!
"4 8 15 16 23 42 - press Execute"
LOST will return for it's 4th Season early next year on ABC.
Books:
Jason is currently reading King's latest, Duma Key.
Since October is quickly approaching us, I figured the next book I should read is FAITHFUL, by Stewart O'Nan & Stephen King
Jason just finished reading CELL, by Stephen King
Bloody, Scary, Gory (did I mention blood?) - a freaking AWESOME BOOK!!!
Jason also just finished reading BLAZE, by the late Richard Bachman. This novel is over 30 years old and was recently rewritten for publication. It's an easy read with some tense moments. I loved this book! There is nothing here that couldn't happen in real life which is sort of typical Bachman fashion.
Jason also just finished reading: Lisey's Story, A Novel by Stephen King
Excellent!!! It's a love story that is beautifully written by a man who used to write about vampires, killer clowns, and possessed cars. This book was great despite all the references to Bools and SOWISA (you'll have to read it to see what I'm talkin' about.) This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster - from happiness, to sadness, to being downright scared at all the points in between.
Also...
Dreamcatcher by the same author. I enjoyed it very much! Creepy story, gruesomely bloody and gory, intriguing characters, and lots of swear words - classic King for the 21st Century!
Dreamcatcher: A Novel, by Stephen King (click on picture and read it yourself if you like!)
