About Me

Well, let's see. I run a convenience store/restaurant for my day job and I'm the drummer/vocalist for a band called Manaia. Oh yeah, and recently, I became a LOST junkie. I'm currently listening to podcasts about the show, reading a magazine dedicated to the show, rewatching old episodes, and fiending for new ones...LOST

My Interests

Drumming, singing, anything music related, reading, writing, watching movies, reading comic books, etc.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet Jesus face to face one day and if I can behave myself well enough, just maybe I will... As far as here on Earth, I'd really like to meet Neal Morse, Nick D'Virgilio (and really all of the band: Spock's Beard), Mike Portnoy (and all of Dream Theater, as well), the members of The Mars Volta, Claudio Sanchez (and the rest of Coheed and Cambria), Trey Anastasio, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Orson Scott Card, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Neil Gaiman, Chris Claremont, Jim Lee, Robert Kirkman, so many others... There's a lot of people whom I really admire...

Music:

...is the universal language. Below are the only three tracks I can find by The Mars Volta featuring the amazing drumming talents of Thomas Pridgen... Take a listen...

Movies:

Fight Club, The Matrix, Interview with the Vampire, The Shawshank Redemption, Clerks (and all related Kevin Smith movies), Se7en, American History X, Buffalo '66, The Romero Zombie flicks (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Land of the Dead and all the remakes), Zombie movies in general (Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days Later), Reservior Dogs, Pulp Fiction (really all the Tarantino flicks), Memento, Requiem for a Dream, Saw, Sideways, Sin City, Sling Blade... All these and some others that I may have forgotten...

Television:

Let me first say that most TV I watch is from the season sets of DVDs I own. That being said, some of my favorites are: The Simpsons, Seinfeld, LOST, OZ, and Chappelle's Show, X-Files, Scrubs, etc....

Books:

Prose Novels: "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card, "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger, The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King, "Fight Club" by Chuck Palahniuk... Comics: The titles that I read monthly are as follows: Action Comics, All-Star Superman, All-Star Batman & Robin the Boy Wonder, Amazing Spider-Man, Astonishing X-Men, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Invincible, Justice League of America, Mighty Avengers, New Avengers, New X-Men, Runaways, Sensational Spider-Man, Supergirl, Superman, Superman/Batman, Superman Confidential, Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, The Walking Dead, WildCATs, Wolverine, Wolverine: Origins, X-Factor, X-Men, and Y: The Last Man... Some of my favorite comics stories ever penned are: The early Chris Claremont runs on X-Men books, X-Tinction Agenda (the first big X-Men crossover I was privy to... Ah... Youth...), Green Lantern: Emerald Twilight, Kevin Smith's Daredevil run, Preacher, The Sandman, The Crow and The Walking Dead... Geeky enough for ya? I thought so...

Heroes:

Jesus Christ (above all others), Neal Morse, Nick D'Virgilio, Mike Portnoy, Orson Scott Card, Professor Charles Xavier... My mother, my father, Erica, Andy, Jeff, and Luke: each for different reasons and for more reasons than they've ever thought of... Thanks to these last six people for being the pillars that hold me up...
