XING N FOX

Since a chance meeting at a recording studio in the summer of 98, XING N FOX have been working non-stop on creating a sound for what they hope will be a new era in hip hop. Mutually disenchanted with the post Biggie/Pac game, the duo started making tracks with big breaks and deep bass-lines, two key ingredients they felt were vanishing from both mainstream and underground hip hop. From there they began combining elements of drum and bass, house, techno, disco, funk, reggae and old school rap, working hard at making the music fresh and innovative, while retaining the basic elements. Throughout this period, the New Jersey based duo have remained virtually unknown, never compromising their work and never succumbing to the bullshit of the industry. The Spazmatic album featuring the legendary Tame One (the Artifacts) is their first full length production to showcase the Xing N Fox sound. It was released on their label, Ahead Recordings in 06.
