MySpace LayoutsI'm at a new stage in my life where it is more about me now, and not all about the kids. I am single and not currently dating anyone. Though the empty nest thing has been difficult, the alone time is a new and exciting experience. I have no one to answer to and I can for once do what I please, when I please. I married at 19 so that's really different after 30 years! Would like to find that special soul mate again (do we have more than one?) but, have come to doubt there is anyone for me after 19 years of dating, investing so much emotionally in relationships only to have them not work out. I'm not negative, just a realist. I've been a single parent to boy/girl twins since they were 2 yrs old. They're 22 now - the pride of my life and mean the world to me. My son, Jason, is a senior in Engineering at Texas Tech and my daughter, Krystal, attended Texas Culinary Academy for an associates degree in Applied Science and also received Cordon Bleu certification. Krystal has moved back home for a while and Jason is home whenever there is a school break. I've owned my home for 17 years and have been doing home improvements. I have so many projects and only two hands! I have three fur kids. I also have two alligator turtles. I have a box turtle, Scratch, in the backyard because someone told me they keep snakes away. After finding several up to 5 feet last year, I have not found any this year, so maybe it works! And, no, I don't think I've crossed the line yet, where I'm the crazy pet lady! My daughter refers to me as a cool mom and I think thats a pretty good compliment from a 22 yr old. I have a good sense of humor and love to laugh. You really have to have a sense of humor to get through life! No temper tantrums from this redhead - it takes a lot to make me angry. I'm very intuitive and perceptive. I detest lying, stealing, cheating, games and drama. I value honesty, integrity and love.
