About Me

I am the proprietor of UnEarthedTees and I have a confession.

I am not a geologist.
I am not a gemologist or mineralogist or earth scientist of any kind. I’m barely a rock hound (I own a number of crystals and geodes), although I do find it all fascinating. I’m actually a graphic artist, editor / communications professional and specialist in Japanese language and culture. So what am I doing with this geology stuff?
It all started out innocently enough when I helped my geologist cousin with some puns for a show her mineral and gem club sponsors every year over in Bristol, Connecticut. Over the year we've come up with quite a few snappy saying and, admittedly, some groaners to draw crowds to her concession stand ("Food so good you'll want to lick it off the fluorite!") I happen to have several other online t-shirt and gift shops and it was inevitable that sooner or later I thought "ok, these puns gotta go on shirts."
Here's where you come in. I can continue to stumble about in my endearingly clueless way, but I do need the feedback and input of the professionals, the hobbyists and the professional hobbyists. Please let me know if there's something you'd like to see, something that is not quite on the mark, or even a simple hidey-ho if you feel like it. I can also customize so if you would like anything for a club, department, illustrious organization or whatnot, give me a holler :-)
Our "Pluto, You're Fired" Shirt was featured in Bleech magazine!
