DJ Epi [Original Kaotic Boy]

DJ Epi, nació en S/C de Tenerife el 16 de Octubre de 1984. Residente desde su nacimiento en la ciudad de La Laguna, se intereso por la música a muy temprana edad, dado que sus familiares (la mayoría músicos), despertaron en él su pasión hacia ésta. A la edad de 3 años, obtuvo su primer instrumento musical. Con el paso del tiempo se iba introduciendo en las músicas electrónicas de por aquella época (Música Disco, Jungle, etc…).Pero es en el año 1996, tras acudir a varios eventos de Old Skool/Jungle en la isla de Tenerife, cuando decide hacer hincapié y meterse de lleno en el mundo de DJ. Obteniendo unos platos, mesa y un equipo mediocre, inicia su andadura y empieza a obtener sus primeros discos de Old Skool/Jungle, que por aquella época tenían unos precios elevados y los temas más aclamados, siempre eran difíciles de conseguir. No obstante nunca se hecha hacia atrás y con lo poco y humilde que consigue va cogiendo práctica y soltura. Más adelante, intenta conseguir hacerse un hueco en los eventos de la isla (con respuesta negativa), pero por otro lado, logra estar en algunos de los eventos privados que organizaban amigos y conocidos.Tres años más tarde, comienza a producir sus propios temas Old Skool bajo el nombre de New Style (DJ Crazy & DJ Epi), causan buenas críticas entre la gente del entorno y logran estar en algunos eventos privados. Al año se unen a Black Clapping (DJ Huevo, DJ Crazy & DJ Epi), produciendo Old Skool/Drum & Bass y actuando en varias discotecas de la isla, tales como Plastic Fantastic, Evolution, etc. Tras disolverse Black Clapping y seguidamente New Style, Epi produce Drum & Bass bajo el nombre de Noise Factory (DJ Chino & DJ Epi), consiguen hacerse un pequeño hueco en la escena, estando en discotecas como Plastic Fantastic, Junquito, Yegua Loka, Palladium, Xitio, etc. Sin olvidar su pasión hacia el Drum & Bass y hacia el ser DJ, obtiene bastantes vinilos actuales y se mete de lleno en su empeño por poder estar en los eventos de la isla (otra vez con respuesta negativa).Es DJ Cuto (quien por información externa), contacta con DJ Epi y le brinda la oportunidad de pinchar con él en algunos eventos. Tras estar en discotecas como Nooctua, Plastic Fantastic, Palladium, Yegua Loka, Xitio, Rancho del Palmar, Galaxia (La Palma), etc. Se hace un hueco importante en la escena tinerfeña y trabaja día a día para mantenerse en ésta. Fundador y componente de Kaos Club, a Epi se le considera un DJ bastante técnico, usando bastante Double Drop en sus Mixes y con un dominio medio/alto del scratch. Su maleta abarca casi todos los subgéneros de Drum & Bass, tales como Liquid Funk, Clownstep, Techstep, etc.En ésta temporada ha estado presente en bastantes eventos importantes en la isla de Tenerife. Actuando en discotecas a parte de las ya nombradas, en Kaché Disco, donde su colectivo Kaos Club, consiguió una residencia bastante buena. Divina Lounge, Xit Disco, Chanclas, Disco Box, Tropicana, Iris Disco (La Palma), Fiesta Bar, Conejo Blanco (La Palma), Bounce Club, etc. Ha compartido cabina con artistas internacionales de la talla de DJ Hype, Pendulum, Ragga Twins, MC Verse, Baron, Skibadee, Total Science, Danny Wheeler, Brookes Brothers, G Dub, etc. Utiliza otros pseudónimos como Shiny G o Kaotic Boy.En el apartado de producción no ha destacado mucho estos últimos años, pero cabe mencionar su producción bajo el pseudónimo de Kaotic Boy, colaborando con Mystical Sound en el tema “Just A Little Love”, el más reciente track “Free Space” bajo el nombre de Shiny G y varios proyectos que esperamos vean muy pronto la luz. Al year they join with Black Clapping (DJ Huevo, DJ Crazy & DJ Epi), producing Old Skool/Drum & Bass and acting in several record stores of the island, such as Plastic Fantastic, Evolution, etc. After being dissolved Black Clapping and follow New Style, Epi produces Drum & Bass under the name of Noise Factory (DJ Chino & DJ Epi), they manage to do a small hole in the scene, being in record stores as Plastic Fantastic, Junquito, Yegua Loka, Palladium, Xitio, etc. Without forgetting its passion toward the Drum & Bass and toward the to be DJ, obtains enough present vinyls and is put of full in its pledge by being able to be in the events of the island (again with negative answer).It is DJ Cuto (who by external information), contacts with DJ Epi and the opportunity to puncture with him in some events offers him.
