I'm a Toronto based nightclub promoter. I run a company called Activate, along with my partner Cyrus. I've organized about 50 one off events and boat cruises as well as several weekly club nights. I've also been involved in hundreds of weeklies and other one off events. Activate's current homes are every friday at This is London and every Saturday at Gallery inside the world renowned Guvernment Entertainment Complex.
We have promoted events and weeklies at such past and present Toronto clubs as Footwork, Element, Roxy Blu, The Guvernment, System Soundbar, Joe, Una Mas, 99 Sudbury, Mod Club, Boa Redux, Sound Emporium, Beba Lounge, This Is London, L'ily, Comfort Zone, Gallery, and more! We have also been been involved in events in other cities and assisted in the organization of Canadian tours for several artists.
To date we have promoted events with such artists as: Afrika Bambaataa, Stanton Warriors, Deep Dish, Donald Glaude, John Digweed, Steve Porter, Carl Cox, James Lavelle, Miss Kitten, Angel Alanis, Bassbin Twins, Jelo, Michael Meyer, Hatiras, Way Out West, Dave Seaman, Bryan Cox, Demi, Anthony Pappa, Infusion, DJ Dopey and MANY MORE!
As for me.. I like stuff.=P
Oh.. and I also DJ. I play anything from Electro house, to straight up electro, to hard house to breaks and techno... I've had past weekly residencies at Element and Footwork. I've also played many of the clubs in Toronto at some point.. From Fluid, to System Sound Bar, to Roxy Blu, to Gallery inside the Guvernment and even the Acid Lounge inside the Guvernment for "Labour of Love", the largest event of it's kind in Toronto, which is attended by over 9,0000 people every year!
