Wonder Woman, Buffy, Buddha, and the girls from Northern State. I also wouldn't mind meeting people who believe sarcasm is an artform, who think rational thought is beautiful, and who can give me a run for my money in a game of scrabble.
And this guy (Bill Moyer, as he listened to Bush talk at a veterans thing):
The Shins, Johnny Cash, Imogen Heap, Tori Amos, The Raveonettes, Corinne Bailey Rae, Ani DiFranco, Debbie Gibson - the early years, Rilo Kiley, Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins, Lisa Loeb, Tegan and Sara, PJ Harvey, and many others that aren't on my playlist at work.
Little Miss Sunshine, Garden State, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Hairspray, Blue Velvet, Shakespeare in Love, LOTR, Kill Bill (both), Pride and Prejudice (the BBC version), anything Lynch or Waters, Bridget Jones' Diary, Donnie Darko, Empire Records, and Pump Up the Volume
TV is good... yummm.... Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Heroes, Lost (when I'm not annoyed by it), Ugly Betty, Grey's Anatomy, most things on Bravo, and the oldies: Buffy, Felicity, Daria, and Sophia, Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche. DVR is my godsend.
Pride and Prejudice, Crime and Punishment, Sorrows of Young Werther, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, House of Mirth, and anything by the following: P.G. Wodehouse, Margaret Atwood, Jasper Fforde, Jane Austen, Edith Wharton, Leo Tolstoy, and Fyodor Dostoevsky. Oh, and I have been known to read and re-read a certain series of books focusing on the magical world of a young wizard named Harry.
Wonder Woman, Buffy, and Buddha (I think an analysis of the three will show they have much in common.)
